As far as the yuri material goes, it really starts to kick off with the school trip arc (volume 8), where the majority of these side characters get introduced and gradually twisted by the presence of Tomoko. Nemo has been present for a while, but she too gets some intriguing develops following that arc.
But if dorky trash protagonists are your bag, there's still plenty to enjoy from the stash you've got at the moment (and Mokocchi has a fair amount of gay moments).

Definitely sounds more attractive than some of the other series I'm behind on. Why did I start reading Citrus? Why did I keep reading it? Life's persistent questions.
The closest to yuri I remember reading in the series is when Tomoko condescendingly thinks about wanting to fuck "Yuu-chan." I was really surprised when I realized there was suddenly a lot of yuri fan content for the series.

Yep. Tomoko picks up a bunch of new and equally eccentric (save for Yuri and Mako... probably...) friends after the school trip arc.

Chronologically how she got her harem, first is Uchi, Yoshida, Mako, Yuri, Makeup girl, and Nemo. Yuri always have been just stick around Tomoko but it's only recently that she show her possessive side now that other girls threatened to steal Tomoko.

in short, kinda yeah. the long explanation is shes gotten quite a few friends (and 1 secret admirer who is a girl) some of whom actually get jealous when they start seeing tomoko treating someone closer than them. mostly yuri, nemo, and emoji girl/emiri. also theres a nice bit where they talk about the meaning of LGBT which tomoko knows amd emoji girl kinda figures out her sexuality
