Fukken lol'd at the Wii in the story. Kaguya was too hot in her sportswear. I've been a bit curious about the advanced technology sometimes shown in Kaguya's room, but I guess what that comment on pg. 4 was saying is that this is a story set in the future enough that consoles of that generation have faded into people's forgotten memories.
I've been really enjoying the Kaguya x Mokou uploads we've been getting recently just because I find the princess a really interesting (and attractive) character. The tsundere stories are great and super fun, while the calmer ones like this are sweet too. I have to say though, if I had a super hot and cute lesbian girlfriend to be immortal with forever, I dunno if I'd be satisfied to kill myself just because the earth was ending (lol). On the theme of immortality in general, it is true that an awareness of death or the possibility of death is part of what can give life passion or make it seem vivid. Still, my take on the whole buddhist acceptance/awareness of death/mortality thing is that it is precisely because we must die, that it is proper for a living creature to struggle until its end, burning brilliantly. There might be nothing beautiful about immortality, particularly from the perspective characters like Mokou and Kaguya, immortals themselves, but still I think there are never any situations where it is right to just roll over and willingly die.
