Looking at all the discourse from two years ago feels kind of strange. I understand if some people could not personally handle a romantic relationship without sexual components, but it feels strange to imprint this feeling on a character. Jun just seems understanding, and like someone who doesn't believe in sex being a necessity in her relationships. I may also just be imprinting my own feelings on her though, because I don't really think such a relationship sounds so bad, even if I'm not some form of ace.

I really wonder what's going through Hana's head with all of this. Some part of me can't really comprehend how deep her hatred runs I guess, and how much she hates that Sadako just really digs her vibe.

The way I understand this is that once Ruruna turns someone into a kin, even she can't undo it. That kind of creeps me out a little. It's like Rununa is destroying the person and making them into something else.

Judging by the non serialized version, the person’s personality stays in tact (Wakana’s friend is still loyal only to her friend, she’s rebellious against Ruruna) she just can’t cause Ruruna harm due to orders

tbh, it felt like none of them were really under her control. i'm not even convinced that she can compel them to do anything less than not beat her to death. wakana in particular seems to have been desperate for the kind of connection that ruruna offered, her friend is iffy but there only because she's worried about wakana, and i feel like she could just leave if she really wanted to. ruruna wants her to like her though so she'd be annoying about it. the teach is a freak, i dunno what to say about her

I do agree that the series should probably not actually be tagged with Yandere unless something changes from here. The alleged Yandere lacks the very specific core thing that defines that archetype of dere; the extreme obsession with someone, and simply being "mentally unwell and violent" isn't close enough in itself imo, that just makes them psychotic.

It's an interesting read for what it is so far though, just not what I expected from the title.

To be fair, the girl who's supposed to be a yandere isn't actually into the villainess yet, and I don't think love at first sight is a firm, unbreakable rule of yanderes. Things could very much change when her feelings towards Hesha do.

It felt that way for me because Frost seems to whip out her sword or threaten Claire's life at the drop of a hat, even if she doesn't mean to actually kill her. I probably wouldn't feel this way if it took at least a bit longer for Claire to feel something for her, tbh.

I won't lie, I don't think I like this one very much. The relationship between Clarice and Frost feels at least a little abusive? In a "the author doesn't realise it" kind of way. It reminds me of beauty and the beast, if the beauty fell for the beast first and set out to fix him.

i feel like akira's hangups over clearly wanting to be mono at first should've had at least 2 more chapters to flesh out and resolve

I really like this manga but like, my biggest worry is that it'll end up actually being a game for Fuwa or something, and that she'll hold no romantic feelings for Marika. She did this almost on a whim in the first place, right?
