But it's a bit weird because there was an entire plot about saving his life a while ago and Akira didn't showed an emotion like that

Am I the only one that thinks this isn't going to make much noise at all? this isn't even that far well known on Yuri circles, it's one of those "not everyone's cup of tea" situation where it was already avoided before and it will certainly be avoided now by the same people, this is either going to be one of those Anime that the general audience will call "filler" of the season (It's one hell of an stupid term but it does happens) or just go under the radar of everyone who isn't from a Yuri circle

About that other chapter, I've noticed that on some Yuri manga one of them always resorts to slapping during argues and I just wanted to know why, like, is it common to slap someone's face on Japan like that? is it just a Yuri thing or an general thing?, because idk they always resorting to slapping their partners' face just makes this feels so abusive

I dunno if it went het so much as they set up her being close to the Prince for the story purpose. She hasn't really confirmed her own feelings in the main series yet, and Walk to Death played with the idea of Yuri without ever commiting, so this could potentially do that too. Though based on the crossover manga between the two, I don't think the author is against the idea of going full Yuri, so who knows.

That's fair. I was mostly talking about the comments I often read on Reddit about the genre as a whole, which are almost always positive. But that's just my personal experience.

Yeah, Reddit is much more welcoming about the genre, but in big Anime pages like Anime Corner, Yuri gets a lot of hate in the comments of posts, so you can get an idea of ​​what the average mainstream Anime community (people who usually just consume shounen, seinen and straight harem and isekai) thinks about Yuri

No offense, but I think that's just your victim complex talking. In my experience, if there's something that the vast majority of the anime community like, that is Yuri/Shoujo Ai. I'm not sure why would you believe otherwise.

Definitely not, we probably just had different experiences with the vast majority of the Anime community then, what I saw the most were comments on social media like Facebook and Youtube with hate against Yuri, every post on popular Anime socials are flooded with comments like that, we probably didn't experienced the same interaction with the mainstream community

Yeah I've seen people making jokes but there are also a bunch of weebs throwing hate at it now saying that it's a "Oreigaru rip-off" as if Anime designs were the most original thing ever, really sad and unfortunate that this is happening but I guess it's common for the mainstream Anime community try to invent excuses to hate anything that is Yuri

I liked this story a lot but I feel like the finale was rushed...any explanation for that by the author? It was just so sudden

Now it's clear that Satsuki's motives go much deeper than a simple moral code, different from the twisted, distorted and edgy moral code of that asshole president

Imagine you are Satsuki, your mom died while you know you could have done something to prevent it, some asshole on your school watched death note and started basing his whole personality on Kira and went berserk killing people, sabotaging you when you try to save them and going around saying on your face that "some people deserve to die" while constantly trying to get you to "his side"

It just shows how different is the view of someone who really suffered a loss VS someone who has never suffered a loss and does not value the life of anyone, unless it's someone close to him, all to massage the inflated ego he carries in his back
