Question for any of the ladies who've actually done it? I've read in other forums that scissoring is really not as great as it's usually depicted in hentai/manga. I've also read several opinions that feel that many of the artists who choose to use that position must be a man, as again, it's not as sexually satisfying as it looks. Do you find it to be accurate? Is scissoring mostly just a male driven lesbian fantasy?
I've done it a fair number of times. I think hentai and yuri eromanga largely depict it as something that's easy. Lol, it's not easy as the person above discussed with the autostraddle article. I'm fairly short so I have done it with partners my size. I learned how to do it well with a partner about 10-12cm taller than me.
We both enjoyed it but it doesn't drive either partner to climax like in porn. It's fun to do in foreplay or after climax. Scissoring tht is, Tribadism and grinding is fantastic. I have enjoyed it with all partners and vice versa. As always fiction makes it look a lot easier and cleaner than reality.
