Ssamba wrote something new on their blog, about FF and foreign fans, with official art even.

Instead of Seol-a going back to the house, I hope for No-rae to go out and reach Seol-a outside. Because Seol-a can't be the one who does all the work IMO. I think No-rae is still too shy/scared though?

Hooray FF finally got back its highest ranking position on Kor Comico!!!!!!

Yes!! Also, chapters 42-44 are now available.

confused1203:

Enah was a total creeper in the beginning "Good morning sunshine, slept well?" I could totally see her saying that to No-Rae.

No-rae literally jumped off the bed from the shock lol So funny

A very nice chapter. I’m curious to know what were Sung-pyo and No-rae talking about. I think he’s starting to realize something about No-rae’s true feelings.

Like ieeheh said, I too found a nice parallelism with chapter 38, where No-rae got involved in the bus accident and Seol-a ran to the hospital. But here, in comparison, I see No-rae very worried, and that’s good because she’s starting to show her feelings more. She is changing in a positive way.

As for the translation of past week’s chapter, to tell the truth I too found the expression “so you do you” a bit confusing (maybe because English is not my mothertongue). But I read your explanations and comments and everything is now clear for me. Thank you! :)

What the hell??

T_T. Get away from my No-Rae!!

Damn I knew he would be back, but why on the trip?? ::cries in the corner::

Let's be positive: the sooner Sung-pyo's arc will be closed, the sooner we'll get more Seolrae moments (I hope).

^ I'm happy Geedsai is back! anonymous and Alextasha, thank you for translating and typesetting her fan art!

And I really do love Ssamba's artworks, even if they aren't related to FF. Now if you would excuse me, I'm going to watch the drama "The Village: Achiara's Secret" uh uh lol

?: It's nice to meet you. My name is Yoon Enah. (t/n: WTF THIS IS MY EXACT BIRTH KOREAN NAME SPELLING AND EVERYTHING LMFAOOOOO)

You’ve got such a beautiful name! And I don’t know how it feels, but I think it’s nice to see your own real name in a manhwa you love so much, isn’t it? Besides, during your finals... thank you so much for the translation!

Lol could it be that Ssamba is aware of Halmoni's hard work for the non-Korean community and is showing gratitude introducing characters somewhat related to her? The grandma at No-rae's hometown in chapter 32, and now CEO Yoon Enah lol

I really liked this chapter. Can’t wait to see what Ssamba has in store for us!

You can tell from all the complaining who has experience with reading long korean webtoons and who doesn't :/ [...]

Well, personally, FF is my very first Korean manhwa but I'm entirely enjoying it nonetheless, with its long pace, and with all the flashbacks.

Even the harshly criticized chapter that showed the (past!) hetero love-story between No-rae and Sung-pyo, I loved it. I found it very cute and interesting to read. Because in my opinion, it only shows once again how much talented Ssamba is, in writing and drawing such a deep, realistic, and interesting story.

Like someone said, the author chose the healthier path for her main characters: to solve their own problems with the past first, and then move on. I really can't wait for that moment, but I'm enjoying every step along the way too.

[...] Am I the only one enjoying this flashbacks?

Of course not.

Thor:

Bleah.

This ex-BF guy is a hindrance to both the progression of the romance and my enjoyment of the recent installments.

Last-second box-blocking is always the most frustrating way to stretch out the story.

The introduction of Sung-pyo isn’t just a plot device in order to strech out the story. Realistic characters have a past that contributes to who they are now and to how they act in the present. We learned Seol-a’s sad past with Yu-ji, now it’s No-rae and her ex boyfriend’s turn.

No prob. :3
... Though honestly, I'm really not the best person to be "informing" people about the language. xD

BTW, just a thought... Though you may not have the time to learn the language itself (since any serious attempt at learning, really learning a language does indeed take years and lots of time and dedication), if you so wish, you really could learn the writing system, likely in just a few days.

Personally, I kinda learned it just for fun. And well, now, I can read the character names, look up some words (being able to retype it, whether in hangul or romanized) and can also recognize some English loanwords. Of course, it's up to you to see if this would be worth doing, but honestly, learning hangul is not a "huge time investment" (like learning the full language would be).

I see... I think I'll give it a try then. Thanks again! :3

«All the better to hug you with!»

romantic_reader, i read hangul, but i dont understand the language, at all, lol
so for me, i learned to read hangul from here, http://www.ryanestrada.com/learntoreadkoreanin15minutes/,
then write it in roman alphabet, retype it in hangul with this, http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/korean.htm
then finally, input the hangul transliteration to google translate

yes it seems like a lot of work (it is lol), but knowing how to read hangul in itself is worth it for me
just thought i'd share this with you all :)

Thank you very much for sharing your personal experience with us. To tell you the truth, I find it curious to be able to read hangul without understanding the language. Maybe it’s because I studied Japanese language and in my opinion it’s impossibile to separate the reading from the understanding of a character. Let’s take, for example, the kanji 見. If you can read it, you know it’s likely related to the verb “to see” 見る. I hope I explained myself well. This is just my opinion anyway.

ieeheh:
Woa, what motivated you to learn to read Hangul?

thatanon:
this very webtoon we love lol [...]

I’d like to be able to understand Korean language as well! It’s all Fluttering Feelings’ fault lol But I think I can’t even afford trying it since I’m really busy lately ;_;

anonymous:

Same reason here.

I won't say anything about the rest of the language (mainly because I don't know much about it <<; ) but I will say this about the Korean writing system...

Disclaimer: This is just my opinion. And not necessarily all accurate. :3
[...]

Thanks a lot for your wall of text anonymous! The more I know about Korean language and culture the more I am happy :)

Busy this time ;_; Just two words:

Many thanks to halmoni for the translations, thatanon for typesetting, anonymous for always finding beautiful fan arts and helping out, taeyeonlikesgirls for translating Ssamba’s blog post about her trip to Comico Japan, and to all of you guys for sharing your thoughts on Fluttering Feelings!

I liked this chapter. It seems that Ssamba is setting something up for the future (a part-time job for the two of them? A close-up of No-rae’s past relationship?). It's getting more and more exciting. Can’t wait for next week’s release!

I’ve got a question. How do I get the phonetic transcription of a Korean sentence from a picture like you did, since I can’t read a Korean character, and I can’t copy-paste the text either?

@ halmoni

If you can, could you please confirm the following?

Just to be absolutely sure, in case there are any mixups of the characters, even though the translation is out...

girl at the beginning in the cemetery = Jang Yu-na
girl with white long-sleeve in the dorm room = Jang Yu-na

Start flashback.
girl in dark blue uniform with skirt = Jang Yu-ji
girl in yellow sports uniform = Baek Seol-a
girl with the dark jacket and pants in the desaturated yellow-ish panels = Jang Yu-ji
girl with the dark jacket and pants crying outside = Jang Yu-ji
End flashback.

girl with white long-sleeve in the dorm room = Jang Yu-na

girl in the very last panel at the airport = Baek Seol-a

Is this all correct?

(Some of them are fairly obvious, even before the translation, especially the Seol-a appearances, but I listed them all just for the sake of completeness.)

You forgot "girl with ponytail at the airport = Kim No-rae". lol I'm joking. Rather, thank you for pointing that out in order to avoid any possible misunderstanding.

Ssamba called it "extra edition" but it's not different from a normal chapter or anything

Many thanks to halmoni as always for the translation!

I find it interesting that Ssamba takes her time to focus on side characters personality, like Ji-hwan or Yu-ji. This choice makes the story deeper in my opinion.

Perfect timing, oppa. Anyway, No-rae already rejected Ji-hwan's confession, so why shouldn't she do the same now? I mean, we know she has feelings for Seol-a. In short, I'm not worried about the ex's return.

By the way, for anyone interested I've just done a rough typeset of this week's special chapter. It took me almost a whole day because I don't know how to use Photoshop lol. I hope you will enjoy it nonetheless.

By the way, where did you find that specific image URL? It appears to come from Comico Japan?
On the Comico Korea, I only see this one http://comico.toastoven.net/comico/img/up/r01/85_kv516x306.jpg although this is an identical image to yours.

Alextasha:

When you click that banner above newest chapter on FF list
http://s9.postimg.org/px6xnecm7/image.png

you will go to that link :) http://comico.toast.com/packages/88 and that image is on the right (the list)

Yes, exactly :) Then I searched it via Google Image > Find other sizes of this image: All sizes > (you will get only one result) > Click on it > View image > here is that specific image URL.
