Granted, I’m not sure if such measures were necessary here, but it is a major family secret, so the paranoia and least makes sense from a story perspective. My question is what exactly they were planning to do if he failed the test. Like, were they planning on to give him a second cup of tea? He already thinks you poisoned the first cup, so why would he accept any other drinks?

Or maybe the entire amnesia tea thing is bullshit and they were just messing with the guy.

That went well enough, there's still time for a proper confession once Riri has had some time to get her feelings in order again.

The ball's in Riri's court, now, I expect she'll be the one to confess to Uda (once we get past the "notice me, senpai" part of the story).

I've enjoyed this arc, but I'm definitely itching for a fresh chapter of Mashiro and Nagi being cute together (maybe a white day chapter?) to balance out the recent angst.

balance out the recent angst.

I for one live for the angst. The more the... merrier? No, that doesn't seem right.

Huh, tandem Groundhog Day or mundane isekai?

Could be Inception, maybe.

Or maybe they're ghosts now.

What a treat of a chapter.
Now, if the silver haired manager could stop what she's trying to do right now, it'd be perfect.
Thanks for the update!

Noo. Let them suffer. I want the drama.

Also, modern and post modern mainstream art is nothing but a sham used by rich people to launder money around in order to avoid paying taxes, what you find online made by either humans or AI programs is where the real art is at.

I was going to recommend you a few really cool contemporary artists, like Theo Jansen, to show that there's a lot of really creative stuff out there, even in mainstream...

But then you go and call AI "the real art" and I figured I gain nothing from this conversation.

I never in my life would have imagined I'd find a reference to a Gabriel Garcia Marquez book in a Yuri manga.

Edit: hold on, this is chapter 30. Does that mean we're getting a whole volume 7 now? Five more chapters would be nice.

Based on what the author has said, it sounds like we have 2 more chapters, and that Volume 6 is just bigger than normal.

I see. Thanks.

Code Red! Lethal overdose of the word "tomorrow"!

yeah the moment Shizuku started thinking about how she couldn't wait for tomorrow to come it was all over. The two of them might get one last moment together where Kaori gets to the end of the story but that's really going to be their last moment together isn't it.

Yes, I think we've narrowed our narrative options to:

  • Happy Ending: Kaori reads the final chapter, then she dies.

  • Sad Ending: Kaori does not get to read the final chapter. She dies instead.

My money's on an intermediate option, where Kaori survives but is too weak to read, so Shizuku reads to her. She dies around midnight with all her friends and family at the hospital.

Edit: hold on, this is chapter 30. Does that mean we're getting a whole volume 7 now? Five more chapters would be nice.

I don’t care what their genders are; I support them fully and completely and will give them all my money to continue going on cute dates

This. Very much this.

Any good slow burn stuff?

Preferably focused on adults rather than kids.

Adult slow-burns are kind of rare (for some incomprehensible reason).

These are the ones I can remember. Most are rather short, but they're pretty good.

Thank you for making me aware of this dearth of adult slow-burn gl fiction. I now consider it my moral obligation to write some myself.

Just one more chapter in this volume. I guess this will be it. Shizuku's novel gets an ending, maybe there'll be a confession, and then Kaori's death.

Like all good stories, I definitely don't want this story to end, but it probably has to. Not sure if my heart could take five more chapters after the next.

Anyone got recommendations for works that start with the protag having a break-up / being dumped and having to heal their emotional scars and learn to love again first, possibly being aided by the new love interest? The angstier the better.

  • Aqua Blue Cinema
  • Dark Asterisk (but read Kimi Koi Limit first)
  • The Woman Next Door (by Takemiya Jin)
  • this, maybe?

Anemone is in Heat seems to be heading that way for one of the main pairings, but that one is about a rejected confession, not a breakup. Very angsty though, much recommended.

And while we're at this, would you be interested in some Yagakimi fanfic? This one is just about what you asked for.

Lol I am here for the train wreck and f up characters but why does every BDSM stuff have to be raped?? That's not even what BDSM is about. I just want a cool BDSM manga where they discuss before hand -,-

I agree it's a bit disappointing everything has rape when it's BDSM in yuri. On a side note, this is con non-con which is part of BDSM as well.

Not the way it was presented, it isn't. You need to have a proper talk beforehand, set hard limits and agree on a safeword. Then you can do this safely.

On the other hand, it's fiction, so eh, whatever.

If you want more wholesome BDSM I suggest Sunstone.

Ohh, will check it out. And since we're here, I'd very much like to suggest this webcomic

Wow, it's been over a decade since this was posted. I feel like a granny reminiscing about the old times.

Lovely story. Terrible relationship. It's so fun to read, though.

Sixteen chapters of absolutely no development, then realization, confession, becoming a couple, kissing and story end in two chapters.

Either this got axed or the author blatantly gave up.

I wouldn't expect a sequel, by the way.

You cant give this title to a story and not make a Zelda reference. It's in violation of the law of the internet

Cute story though

I see a lot of hate on Shion here, but honestly, she's right. In a real world situation (read: not a Yuri manga), if you confess to a partner and they don't feel the same, you risk ruining the partnership (which in this case means ruining Kiki's chance of being top pair in the quadrille). In a sense, Shion is looking out for Kiki and her dream. You can't fault her actions.

And that is because Miorine is a puddle of joy in the anime right?

She's a textbook tsundere

But that's just the thing, I don't think she is one. Tsundere characters tend to be easy to read. They overreact to situations, it's clear to the reader that they're in denial. Miorine, if anything, underreacts. While there are scenes which establish that she cares for Suletta, most of the time you can't tell what she's thinking or feeling.

Even this particular story seems to acknowledge that, as the first panels are there specifically to tell us how Miorine felt during some moments in the series.

So yeah, she feels more charismatic in here, imho.

Still, I prefer Miorine in the several pieces of fan media I've read (like this one) than in the original series. Maybe it's just that the series creators didn't have enough screen time to explore her emotions, so she comes off as cold a lot of the time.

I mean she's dealing with quite a lot throughout the entire show. Not much room for levity from her. Suletta's levity was in stark contrast to most others and can't be decoupled from her naivete, lack of responsibility and her control from her mother. Even she got serious once she started to suffer similar burdens. Mio can be cute in this one since it's post everything.

But this was super cute.

That's true. I think part of the reason I feel that way is that Miorine doesn't express emotion often, not even in private. For comparison, Nika is also going through a lot, but her character is more expressive, so she feels more relatable. (I don't mean it in a bad way, characters need to be different from each other, this is just me reasoning on why I don't find Miorine very likeable in the series).

Okay do you mean likeable as a character or likeable as a person? Because those are two very different things

As a person. I'm not sure what you mean by "likeable as a character." Isn't that the same as saying a character is popular?
