I suppose so, but it just doesn't have that ring to it, oh well though, it wouldn't be the first time when the people who license manga choose some unfitting official title, like "How Do We Relationship?", for "So Do You Want To Go Out, Or?".

From the perspective of me who hasn't read it, "How Do We Relationship?" is a way better-sounding title than...that other one. The latter looks like an extremely literal translation that ends up sounding messy and confusing in English. "How Do We Relationship?" provides a clean and concise idea of what the manga will be about.

(I came back here because I just got the first volume of Even Though We're Adults in the mail and realized I hadn't seen this series on the site in a while)

One thing is for certain, this series definitely gets people talking. Not even a day and multiple pages of posts.

The "I'm not worthy" thing has always been my most hated trope in romances. I was immediately reminded of an old shoujo series called Say I Love You which similarly pissed me off. It's just so very insulting. Yeah, I guess this is predictably where it was heading, but it's still awful, and it didn't have to be this way.

^The chat at that part was a bunch of people spamming "GAY" and "NOW KISS." It was pretty great.

I know people tend to get attached to the fan-translated titles that they originally got used to but it's becoming awkward seeing this series still listed as "I Favor the Villainess" when even the Japanese covers say, in English, "I'm in Love with the Villainess."

You're falling into the trap of assuming that the English text on manga covers is (a) a translation of the Japanese title, and (b) accurate. Having said that, I'd go with "The Villainess Is My Favourite" myself.

I didn't assume either. Localized titles aren't always direct translations, it's not at all uncommon. In fact, when a fan-translated title differs from an official localization, I assume the fan one to be more literal or "accurate." But that doesn't matter; what matters is the title the book is being sold as, and in this case, it's not "I Favor the Villainess" no matter what country you live in.

Accidentally read "penises" in the title at first, glad I was wrong.

Plot twist: he doesn't actually like her or want to go out with her at all. He can tell she loves Fujishiro and is doing this to push her to realize it.

Dang, that really would have been way more interesting. The chapter altogether made it look like it was heading...well, where it headed, but if it had gone this route instead, you could look back at the things he was saying and realize it makes perfect sense. And it wouldn't just fall into a boring old trope.

Imagine buying an anthology titled "I'm the Villainess, but the Heroine's Trying to Capture Me?!", seeing it marketed as "girl x girl relationships, with a focus on Heroine x Villainess," and then getting queerbait and het stories.

Our perspective on this site is that we're just getting random, unconnected (and free, naturally) one-shots with genre tags that semi-spoil the content, but that's not what it's actually supposed to be. "Just look at the tags"? Consider yourself lucky you have tags.

Instead of reading it I just flipped through for the art and made my own headcanon. It was probably better like that.
