I think it wasn't that Clarice was stronger but that Frost is weaker to her. In fact, I think that is what infuriates and terrifies her. She has a deep-seated unfulfilled need to be close to another person (I mean, every human does), but her past experiences have taught her that doing so only causes pain to her, specifically, in the long run. Frost is weak to Clarice's extraverted go-getter attitude, which makes her very vulnerable emotionally, which terrifies and causes her to lash out at Clarice in anger.

Never in my life have I've seen such a "fuck it, we ball" approach to romance before. Clarice really saw the Black knight threatening her life and decided to respond by going all in on the "Imma seduce and make this bitch happy of it's the last thing I do in my life" grindset.

I get the feeling that the woman was somehow related to the Graat family, and she did trick or abandon Frost, which is what caused her trust issues. It may have also what motivated Dahlia to switch allegiances to the Black Knight house, or maybe she is just a regular spy in the enemy camp for the Graats.
