One example I can think of is Kyou Kara Yonshimai, which deals with the single brother of a family of siblings coming out as a pre-transitional MtF transgender, who is also revealed to have a girlfriend. Probably the only example I can think of that deals with the issue of sex in a serious manner (ie. Even though my mind is a girl, would my lesbian girlfriend still love me with my current body?) Granted, most series that take transgender seriously probably don't want to focus too heavily on the sex aspect, what with its emphasis on what the body has and everything.

It wasn't gonna be an ending that would please everyone. Obviously going for a "kiss the loli" ending wasn't gonna happen, because it pretty much goes against all of Mimika's development. And thinking about it, going for the "you're 18 now, you know what that means" ending would probably be awkward for other reasons (mainly that none of you dorks can probably even picture what an 18-year-old Yuzumori would look like). This is a pretty fitting ending that emphasises the romantic aspect rather than the lewd aspect.

Either way, there'll probably be more content in the fifth tank coming out in May.

The anime has adapted chapters from all the volumes. Mostly Volumes 1-3 but also parts from 4 and 5. There's barely anything left to adapt now. It would have to be a few years before there's enough material for a season 2.

I wouldn't really say that, as they've been pretty much going to and fro from various points in no particular order. (eg. the Shion reveal in ch7 didn't show up in the anime til episode 10). There's still a fair amount of plot yet to be used, such as Eiko feeling up Kiyose's abs.

Given that it's more of a cameo than a straight-up continuation, there's probably no real connection to the curse thing (assuming that these even are the same characters). Just the message that even though their time together was short (the exact time being pretty vague), every moment was worth it.
