yea i'm pretty sure she already knew she was into girls. you see how excited she got when she thought someone else was at beginning. which tbh makes me feel a little bad for her. here she was, knowing this thing about herself and hiding it, because, society, then here comes a pair of girls saying it's a thing now to PRETEND to be that thing, almost mocking it, when the reality of it is so much harder. but, that's just me looking way more into this than was intended /shrug.

There is actually story with that (almost) exact plot if you're interested.

Because you probably already did. First chapter was released before with different translation, probably by different group. Seems like it was abandoned so new one picked it up and decided to redone chapter 1.

Does anyone else think the anime's art style and entire mood are just a little off? It's definitely adorable and I'm going to continue to watch, but it doesn't have the same appeal that the manga has. (Not that it's less appealing. It's just different)

It's probably the overall tempo of the anime vs the manga. In the manga it seems like the speed of things are faster, the tsukkomis, deadpan jokes, and characters reactions to stuff comes across dynamic and high octane, but for some weird reason, the anime inverts this and opts to go for a more laidback tempo, which doesn't really fit imo.

Anime tries to make it feel more like your standard anime with pacing and episode progression instead of being blatant "anime based on yonkoma". Just copy pacing jokes from manga very often fall flat, because of very huge difference in format, so straight adaptations usually don't work as well, but WataTen seems to go into opposite extreme, by trying to distance itself from yonkoma as much as possible. Entire opening where we see Miyako going about her day and all the times she is agonizing about her friendship towards Hana is all added to make it feel more than just your standard comedy. I'm honestly not sure whatever I like this approach or not. I really liked the way Kyuuketsuki-san was adapted. It did great job with pacing its jokes, while still keeping true to its yonkoma, slice of life format.

Well this chapter was very confusing. I have no clue anymore what her real motive is. I'm fine with character not always telling the truth, but what is not funny is when in single chapter you get so many contradictions, you can't believe anything they say and you need to wait for next chapter to specifically tell you what the hell is actually going on.

That is certainly true of Kasumi who appears to have absolutely no sexual desire at all, but Sakurako is a different story. That girl is beyond thirsty. Kasumi just keeps her from acting on those desires past a certain point.

Yea, but at the beginning the only limitation we ever saw is bigger, more complex stuff takes her longer to make. She is always slim and we never see her excessively eating outside of when we were shown them specifically training their quirks. I feel like author came with base idea for her ability, but didn't have details yet, so when he gave explanation it didn't really fit with what we saw so far. If she really uses fat to create, you would think she would be fat by default and thin out as she uses her quirk, but she always have perfect shape and never once she reached point during fight where she couldn't create stuff, because she run out of fat/it was posing a risk to her. Only other explanation is, she automatically converts excessive fat to energy she can use to create stuff from and she stories it in her body, but that kinda feels like cheap explanation.

She is using molecules of her fat cells to create stuff, so she is literally loosing weight to make things. And she converts it to whatever material she wants, as long as it is non-living substance. So she can make anything as long as she knows how it is made and has enough spare fat (though that part was never really addressed in series, at least till place I watched it was never a limitation).

Also you clearly didn't even bother reading entire thing, because then I proceed to explain why I don't even need any studies when talking about manga, because fiction uses different rules.
