Awww... not fair. The end is quite abrupt. The story could really use more pages. Or more chapters. Or just being a series instead of an one-shot.

It's really cute and lovely. But ended too fast.

I dunno that it could really be sustained all that well past a few more chapters at most. Another chapter would be nice though to see where things go for them in the future.

Yaoi is definitely more popular in Japan, I searched Mangaupdates exclusively for doujins and Yuri returned 17 pages, 8 when I excluded smut and Hentai, while yaoi returned 118 pages, 109 excluding Hentai and Smut.

It's actually kinda interesting that despite having 6x as many pages there's apparently an equal amount of hentai/smut for both genres.

That's just an extremely moronic conclusion to even come to in my opinion. It seems to outright imply that if a relationship isn't heterosexual then it's apparently just completely sexually based which is obviously wrong even if you don't stop and take the time to think about it.

I wonder just how often they'd be completely wrong about people looking into F/F stuff only for porn. In my case it'd be almost entirely wrong. I generally tend to avoid anything that's completely sex-focused because I far prefer the romance and character development side of things to the sex side of things. (Though of course if the sex side of things isn't forced then it's fine. Ie: Hanjuku Joshi averages a sex scene like every 30ish pages or so which is quite a lot but it completely fits in with the theme of the story and doesn't feel forced or anything despite the frequency.)

Once when I was trying to discuss how difficult it was to find novels with female characters who love each other the response I got was "Why does it have to be two girls? Aren't other romances fine? Lesbians could read gay or het guy romance too. Unless you're just looking for erotica?"

Is it just me or does that quote seem to imply that het or gay romance isn't necessarily erotica while anything involving lesbians would definitely be?

I don't know what scanlator released chapters 16, 17, and 17.5 on other sites but unless it's a site like Mangafox uploading rough drafts of the final versions like they've apparently done in the past they're not done by Yuri Project like the previous ones here. (Which doesn't look to be the case, I can't find anything on those chapters on YP's status pages.)

The fact that she was able to leave and we don't see her struggling to stay out of the relationship is probably the only unrealistic thing about the depiction of abuse in this. Then again, the story ended before we saw that, so maybe she does struggle to leave for good but we just don't see it. All in all it's an excellent story.

The fact she has someone who is kind to her and appreciates her probably helps her not struggle with it. Plus it seems that having someone to support her at the end of the story simply gave her the courage to do what she had already tried to do herself. It's made fairly clear that her going to the school to teach was her trying to run away from the abusive relationship.

Plus how is it not yuri? I haven't read it in a while but I recall that the MC is in love with/has a crush on the librarian, the MC's sister as well has a crush on her.

And it seems fairly strongly implied that at least to some point Miss Sunflower feels strongly about Matsuri even if it's not the same sort of feeling. So maybe it won't have a yuri ending but it's still completely possible.
