I’m so glad they didn’t have the empress take it in stride like she knows she’s in a yuri, and I really hope they don’t resolve this too quickly, this shot of pain and complication is exactly what this story needs. I wanna see them work through things and fall back in love despite it all.

I love that the empress is like “i will fulfill my responsibilities but no longer will i let you in my personal life.” I love when that sort of devotion remains even when the feelings are shattered and the relationship is gone.

I love that the emperor still loves her so much that she respects her feelings and will bear the pain of losing her but still wants what’s best for her and wants to take care of her, even as she respects her wishes and allows distance between them.

God i love romantic betrayal like this so muchhhhh.

as a gay chinese american who struggles with being chinese i really enjoy reading this because its about chinese girls and about them being gay and happy

im adopted so i never experienced the "typical asian prents" and while i dont mind this considering the stereotypes its made me fee outcasted by other asian friends so it was rlly heartwarming to see luxi be really relatable (both in school grades, personality, and even looks) felt like i was in this story ngl even her style is similar to mine but it was nice to have someone relatable and i felt like i could relate to some of the mother problems

rlly made me happy to read this manhua and i cant wait for the next updates makes me happy a character so much like me is getting a happy life all things considered

For as much drama that’s in this comic, I really appreciate that Tong Tong’s little project here is just allowed to… work. She’s not overbearing, she’s not overly self conscious, Luxi isn’t uncomfortable, they just get to be sweet and kinky and they’re both into it. I can think of 50 different ways how the author could twist this to make it go wrong but instead it’s just cute. Honestly refreshing.

Yeah it’s kind of awesome. So many other authors would make this into a thing where Tong Tong doesn’t know what she’s doing and it doesn’t work out. But I think making it just… go smoothly is kind of genius. I think there’s a lot of value in telling people, look, you can just try this, and work hard and think hard on it, and it can work out. I think that’s the more interesting message and the more interesting action.

This was so good! I love manga that's just. Observation of life, of the way people are, perhaps with a little bit of kindness in it. I love how our bully girl was like. Aware of and unsatisfied with the way she treats people, but found herself getting pulled into patterns anyway--that's really how it works sometimes, no matter how self-aware you are.

The intimacy in this chapter was so sweet. They love each other!

I really like this, the bitterness level of this bittersweet is very high and then the reveal that she’s actually angling for her friend in such a fucked up way adds extra layers to it. V tasty.
