Still one of my favs.

There's a lot that could be said about this one, I'm surprised I never read it.

I love Akuta Fumie, her art is amazing. The first part is really really good, and really really believable, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I much appreciated the level of frustration Tsubaki felt and how often it spilled over into her words and actions. Part of having feelings for someone - regardless of their nature - is hurting them, and their interactions felt visceral in a way not a lot of other yuri stories do.
At first I was worried this was going to be another item cut short by Hirari's ill-fated end, because there's a lot of places to go after that and I trust her like few others. Thankfully it is completed, but sadly it's all played very safe, turning out predictably trope-y and only just appropriately satisfying. At least everyone was happy in the end. For a 2-shot, I guess that's about the best scenario possible. All well's that ends well (I guess!).

I honestly think the best part of this 2-shot (besides happy end) was the dude apologizing for accidentally spreading the rumor..

Yeah that was great and quite unusual.

Going down the list further, it starts to become apparent that history and longevity play a pretty big role, but there are pretty significant skew factors involved, like Pixiv/Twitter manga and translator bias. Something like Christa x Ymir is pretty limited in both history and longevity, but has likely several dozen web doujinshi that boost its placement on the list. Meanwhile, the portion of Nico x Nozomi releases seems to be a clear bias on the part of someone along the scanlation line, as its mere existence was once an afterthought.

I love Tovarisch, I've rarely seen people talk about the side characters or even the series in general, so I'm surprised it gets any "hate"...

Not only does Serenata have good taste, but also good predictive abilities, too! Here's the top 10.

Love Arata Iri so much, this is such a perfect series. Though I do wonder if it won't end within a couple chapters? Reveals and development are suddenly happening so rapidly, I'm not sure what would keep this going on longer other than the murder mystery having quite a bit more plot than expected. Perhaps it would be most satisfying for them to get together to end Volume 2, and leave the future volume(s) for fleshing out and building on what's turning into a nice foundation. One can hope.

Though it'd be hilarious if the Prez was actually a murderer and the Miko forgives her for it, because nothing says 'Come Rain or Shine' like sticking with your girlfriend while she's on the run for homicide.

What a great mom. Kine was too smooth, though. She's like that player who manages to get every girl she's after, even when they know how it'll end up.

I... really wanted to enjoy this, but the EXTREME amounts of unnecessary fan service kinda killed my interest.

Have you read manga before? This is a very light amount of fanservice for the genre. I didn't actually notice it

Can confirm as someone who almost exclusively reads yuri and josei that it's very possible to find the amount of fanservice in this "significant," even if it's the sneakier kind.

Hey, I don't think anyone was particularly ignoring you. More likely, they didn't see your post or had some other reason for not responding. You'd be best off looking for Hifuu manga here. They may not be yuri, but they're certainly relevant to the site itself so I don't think anyone should have an issue with that. Sadly I don't currently have anything to contribute. It is with sorrow that I've come to realise we have a pervasive problem with hard feelings permeating among different members and different groups of members. So pervasive that it seems to apply to a significant portion of new and regular members, perhaps even a majority. Of course, having personal views of others is completely acceptable, but allowing those views to come to the surface on a consistent basis appears to be a significant negative for discussion in general.

This particularly applies to Rule 1. Originally thought of as a guideline towards an appropriate atmosphere, we are confident now that its use as just a guideline is failing that purpose. While we always consider the context surrounding rule violations, this particular problem is only getting worse. As such, we'll continue applying the rules at our discretion, but we will no longer tolerate repeated instances of misconduct. Additionally, I'd like to remind everyone that being disrespectful towards any single user is also a violation of Rule 1. We will not be tolerating such behaviour in the future.

The wholesome parts are just vaguely boring because you have no reason to care about the characters, and the edgy parts are hilariously off-key, predictably written, tonally dissonant and generally just so tryhard and melodramatic that you wonder if Gen Urobutchi was called in to help with them.

1) This was me watching Violet Evergarden. I'm so curious about this Tabi show now, I might have to check it out when it's finished!
