It's been said before that this manhua is very cinematic and I honestly feel like it would make such a good movie.

Afaic I have no doubts anymore that Tracy Hu pictures the story in her mind like a movie then draws it the way she would film it—with special attention to camera angles and narrative rhythm, in gorgeous watercolor-like art with amazing effects of light and shadow.

She even inserts THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE MOVIE between panels, for chrissake! (☉̃ₒ☉)

Riri and Karin are the only ones for me. The reason, I guess, is that touches and kisses are my favorite part of a relationship. A girl who only wants to look at me, or listen to me, or (god help us) sniff at me all day long is just... not my idea of a desirable partner.

I had a slightly greater liking for Riri before, but Karin has gotten so much screen time lately and has grown so much as a character that it's difficult not to be rooting for her now. She seriously and sincerely proposed to Mei. She asked Mei to get into a committed relationship with her. Mei gave an ambiguous "I like you but I'm not ready" sort of reply, so now Karin is giving her time while trying to get them to know each other better and become closer. And as she does this, because she's a reasonable girl, she doesn't expect Mei to forswear flirting with other women (since they haven't actually committed to each other yet) and of course she doesn't hold back either from doing the same thing.

And this leads us to the scene in this chapter where she makes out with that cute kohai girl and finds out, after kissing her, that it wasn't all that enjoyable... because she has kissed Mei before; and this, she realizes, has made her lose interest in other girls' lips. Because it's just not the same. In other words, kissing Mei to her was like:

Tbh this is so incredibly ROMANTIC it has totally swept me off my feet and now all I can think of is that I want Mei to stop being a dummy and accept Karin's feelings. (Sorry, Riri-chan, I still like you, but... >_< ) Heck, I mean, come on, that line about rejecting Karin because she feels she's not good enough for her? That's the oldest cliché in the book of romance tropes, and it was as dumb the first time it was ever used as it is today!!! I'm gonna tell y'all just in case you don't know: episode 1 is great for a first episode and totally like RGU, but there's an episode 0! And if you plan to follow this show then you should watch it because it's full of mega important info.

I might as well spoil you: mc is not just Utena, she's also Char Aznable, LOL! No wonder she's a redhead! A red helmet would've been too much, so they gave her red hair instead. :P Anyway, in episode 0 her family is murdered by baddies and the big bad boss is Delling Rembran who is also Miorine's father. So mc is actually in a mission of revenge, just like Char, but she's gonna fall in love with Miorine, so... ouch. I foresee angst and difficult decisions.

Wow. This gives everything a whole new meaning. If the mc understands "farewell letter" as "suicide note" then there's no mystery about the cause of Sayaka's forthcoming death.

When I first read the chapter I had a lot of questions. Like, why the mc never asks for details about the circumstances that will lead to Sayaka's passing. Or how come she's so rude in some of her replies. ("I'll read your damned letter!") But if Sayaka pretty much opened up by admitting she's gonna kill herself, it makes sense for our wannabe seiyuu to be on edge, reticent and nervously tense.

So let's see if I get this straight (excuse my French).
