I just finished Dark Souls 3. Man, what a great game. Such a step up from Dark Souls II and even Dark Souls. It had a lot of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne vibes aswell, just a good mix of everything good that has come from the soulsborne game so far.

Are you going to try to get all the ending? I'm on my NG++ and I still love this game. I love how well they meshed elements from the previous games into this one. The replay value is pretty nice as well.

Of course, I can't wait to get them. It's gonna take a while tho since I'm still in NG to prepare my platinum, and it's not going well since the darkmoon covenant is just terrible. And I haven't beaten the Nameless King yet, he's kicking my ass to hell and back and I definitely don't want to summon anyone since I want to beat every boss on my own on a first playthrough.

I heard the enemies don't really get that much harder into NG+, is that true?

The only way to feasibly complete that covenant is endless farming from the silver knights, it's a chore >__> (I gave up)
The only advice I have for that boss, is practice lots of pro dodge rolling. I assume it's the second phase you're having trouble with?

It's true, the leap isn't that substantial...I'm feeling it in NG++, that feels more like NG+.

I'm just ecstatic to see Sungji's character more fleshed out. I love this side of her, especially when she held her own and retorted, "The pitiful one is you, president." I don't blame Seju for her untoward behavior. It seems only natural as she is backed into a corner. Plus, she was painted as the crazy evil-ex from the start so it's fitting.

I do think it was a bad choice on Sumin's part to abide by Seju's last wishes. She shouldn't have done it out of respect for her current partner. Her actions mirror Seju's from a decade ago. If I were Sungji, after walking in on this fiasco, I'd let Seju have Sumin. From the start, Sumin was awful at showing her emotions and communicating her feelings to Sungji. I'm hoping Sungji can make Sumin a stronger person but I'm not sure she deserves that chance anymore.

Well, I use Skype, Whatsapp, Batoto, MAL, Hotmail, Pixiv, Tumblr, Deviantart, though Tumblr and Deviantart are kind of annoying since they don't warn you that of any new message, so you need to keep an eye on it, for me any of them is fine, I probably forgot some, not to mention account in some sites that shouldn't be named...

Honestly, I didn't expect much from this series at first. However, it definitely improved mid-way through the series. My initial instinct was to hate Murakami (and a small piece of me still does) but she's fleshing out into a person with her on feelings. I really enjoy her development. And alas, if only Moritani would realize she has more leeway/power with Murakami than she's cognizant of!

I like to play a variety of games. As a kid I played mmorpgs to no end haha. As I got older I started playing things like cs go, league, dota, sc2-the more 'hardcore' stuff as people like to call it lol. I no longer play games atm only because Im back in school and I want to concentrate on that for now. Spent my previous university life being a slacker so Im making up for it now haha.

Well, it's a loose set of plans as I have as a guideline. What plans don't change, amirite? The important thing is to not get too attached them in the face of setbacks.

Salt and Sanctuary is basically...a 2D Dark Souls-like game with a bit of platforming(I'm an avid souls fan)

The community is cancerous to no avail, probably because it's a free game with a large fan base. Yes, you should definitely concentrate on school! I know it's hard to push the distractions aside and focus ;__;

Yeah it was a big big scare lol. Have to stand by my team and weather the storm though (or go cry in a corner somewhere). Finals against Cleveland start on Thursday :) The Grizzlies had it rough this playoff run since they had injuries and had to play the Spurs the first round, but past years they've been very good. Are you in Memphis or did you move for college?

One thing vexes me is the Grizzlies play mediocre against mediocre teams. They only play really well against good teams and have an amazing clutch game. But if the team isn't good enough to utilize their clutch tactics then they're in the gutter D: I am from Memphis (I don't have a southern accent,thankfully) and decided to stay for college as to avoid paying dorm rent. Hopefully I don't linger here much longer~

I also didn't like the Canaan x Maria pairing. For subtext, it was just too obvious and in your face. Also, Maria, as kind and cute as she is, was just too much of a typical boke character for me. >_<

Yes, the pairing was very in your face. Very little subtlety and not much left to the imagination...plus their pairing dynamic was very...dull. They didn't feel like real believable characters to me most of the time. (Not that most anime/manga characters do, really)

Hey! Busy week ahead of me, so not sure how much I can be around. Hope you're all well. The Warriors pulled off the series comeback last night and are going to the NBA Finals! Very happy Warriors fans in this home right now. All the basketball games have been affecting my dear kanojo's sleep schedule though so she's all sorts of grumpy today lol. That's the problem with being on the east coast as a fan of a west coast basketball team :(

I heard that Oklahoma gave the Warriors a bit of a scare recently! I don't religiously keep up with basketball so I couldn't really tell you much beyond that. My home team is the Grizzlies, I saw them beat the Heat and then flop on easy teams. >__>

My degree is in physics. For the most part, my family is supportive but a lot of the males give me a hard time. It's so wonderful the way they completely invalidate my degree and apparently think fixing an AC is akin to engineering. I swear every 5 minutes they'd ask me inane questions such as "Why does this float? C'mon, it's just physics. You probably only add and subtract all day" You're wrong. You're right, it is very hard to find people interested in both subjects! As of now, the plan is to go to graduate school and hopefully get the opportunity to work toward my PhD. I'm mostly interested in teaching and research, as for which field of physics...I'm thinking solid state or even astrophysics.

Yeah work hard and have fun :) Should try to get everything out of college, both educational and social, those bonds and connections are really special and can help you a lot after you've graduated. Try to build good relationships with the professors in the courses you do best in so that they'll write extra strong recommendations for you. A big name professor giving an excellent recommendation can really keep your name at the top of the pile. And yeah, even though you're out to get a degree, taking classes in other fields is important and you can get a lot out of them that will give you a more round and fulfilling experience.

I'm fortunate that I'm close to a few professors, especially the mathematics professors. They're surprisingly not pretentious and love the fact I'm very well rounded. It also helps I actually ask questions out of sheer curiosity and not to just pass an exam. I'm sure that's pretty refreshing for a lot of professors. I'm kind of at a loss with what to do with myself now that uni is out for the summer and I'm not taking summer classes this year D:

Hang in there :) I graduated with a mathematics degree 8 years ago and took a lot of statistics/econometrics-related courses as well. I was about to accept an offer to a doctorate program in statistics and decided to defer a year and then ended up declining. Part of me really wanted to do it just because I could and there's something about that kind of recognition that I wanted, but it became really clear to me that I didn't actually have the passion. My mentor/eventual ex-girlfriend/best friend really thought I was going to follow in her footsteps and I think I admired her so much that I wanted it to happen for a long time, but when it came down to it I just couldn't commit. I ended a up programmer for a pharmaceutical research company for a few years, but was unhappy with the corporate world and life in general. Now I do very different work, but I'm quite happy with the more easy-going lifestyle. I get to write a lot and as long as I'm making the company money I get a lot of creative freedom. Life takes you down all sorts of paths, but I say a physics degree is a great place to start ;)
