Same here! I though she’s the type “straight girl who never hear about girlxgirl stuff go gay when a girl flirting with her” and I really surprised when she said she like yuri, furthermore, super into it.

I think its because when I see a girl being recalcitrant to another girl flirting towards her, I figured it's because she's still in the "girls can't like girls" phase. But I guess all of her problems are because its a ghost and a pervert, not another woman.

You know what, I was thinking exactly the same thing. When I saw her in the first pages, in yoga pants and a loose T-shirt tied on the side, I mind-blanked for a few moments! And later she was in tight jean shorts and a thin black top that clung to her curves perfectly and ohmygosh ohmygosh OHMYGOSH!

You know its actually kind of sad that Ucchi realized she's gay before Tomoko did. Like, Ucchi obviously is nowhere near escaping the closet, but at least she seems to have accepted the fact that she's in love with Tomoko. This artist does a lot of this pairing, but most of it is implied futa. Like, you can tell Ryuko is obviously supposed to have a dick, but you can't see it.

For those who don't know, these are two characters who appear only on the illustrations for the album Dolls in Pseudo Paradise. On the CD jacket and the label, thus the names. Maybe they're supposed to be characters from the accompanying story of the album, but none of the characters in that are named.

The 404 Straight People Not Found trope where the other regular characters turn out to be gay as well.

That's the sort of thing that I personally don't mind sometimes, but other times when some show or whatever has too many queer characters it just kinda takes me out of it. I guess there's some sort of filter in my brain that sort of mentally classes things as a "gay media" or not, and when there's too many gays in something my subconscious considers "non-gay media" I start asking questions about what chemicals they're putting in the water. I dunno, that's probably a terrible way of explaining it.

Maybe not my least favourite but I kinda dislike it when one of the protagonists is portrayed as being overly pathetic, or at least having a really low self esteem where they don't really see themselves as good in any way, and then somebody way out of their league starts showing interest in them and they're all like "why do they like me I'm trash". Strikes me as being a bit too much of a fantasy aimed at people with similarly low self-image I think, that some cool beautiful person will swoop down on their white horse and save them from their boring life without them having done anything to earn it. I personally believe that if you want to write a good romance, the audience has to "fall in love" with the romantic leads to an extent, they have to be likeable enough that you easily understand why the characters like each-other. So if I don't like one of the characters in a romance, I think it breaks my investment in the story as I'm just like "why are you interested in this loser".

Well, it depends on what you regard as "canon" (which is a can of worms I won't really get into).

So there is a fan continuation of Sonic the Comic called Sonic the Comic Online. To celebrate a milestone they got Nigel Kitching, the original lead writer, to write a epilogue for StC called Exit: Sonic. In that its mentioned that Tekno and Amy are living together and raising a son called Johnny (Sonic's the godfather). Not outright stating they're a couple, but heavily implying it to the point you have to be willfully blind to miss it.

So obviously not endorsed by Sega in any way, but it is the lead writer writing an ending for his series later on for what that's worth.

I'm a pretty big fan of Lammy/Katy from Um Jammer Lammy/Parappa the Rapper, enough that it actually inspired me to do my first shipping fanfiction ever. Recently I've also been developing an interest in Amy Rose/Tekno the Canary from the Fleetway Sonic the Comic. You know, if I had a nickel for every furry lesbian couple that was canonized decades after their original works ended by one of the original creators, I'd have two nickels.
