You know its actually kind of sad that Ucchi realized she's gay before Tomoko did. Like, Ucchi obviously is nowhere near escaping the closet, but at least she seems to have accepted the fact that she's in love with Tomoko. Meanwhile I'm pretty sure that Tomoko still is under the delusion she's straight even as she pervs all over her lady friends.

I hope this blows out that minority of people who insisted the previous Valentines image of these two wasn't meant to imply Katy and Lammy were in a relationship.

This artist does a lot of this pairing, but most of it is implied futa. Like, you can tell Ryuko is obviously supposed to have a dick, but you can't see it.

For those who don't know, these are two characters who appear only on the illustrations for the album Dolls in Pseudo Paradise. On the CD jacket and the label, thus the names. Maybe they're supposed to be characters from the accompanying story of the album, but none of the characters in that are named.

That's the sort of thing that I personally don't mind sometimes, but other times when some show or whatever has too many queer characters it just kinda takes me out of it. I guess there's some sort of filter in my brain that sort of mentally classes things as a "gay media" or not, and when there's too many gays in something my subconscious considers "non-gay media" I start asking questions about what chemicals they're putting in the water. I dunno, that's probably a terrible way of explaining it.

Maybe not my least favourite but I kinda dislike it when one of the protagonists is portrayed as being overly pathetic, or at least having a really low self esteem where they don't really see themselves as good in any way, and then somebody way out of their league starts showing interest in them and they're all like "why do they like me I'm trash". Strikes me as being a bit too much of a fantasy aimed at people with similarly low self-image I think, that some cool beautiful person will swoop down on their white horse and save them from their boring life without them having done anything to earn it. I personally believe that if you want to write a good romance, the audience has to "fall in love" with the romantic leads to an extent, they have to be likeable enough that you easily understand why the characters like each-other. So if I don't like one of the characters in a romance, I think it breaks my investment in the story as I'm just like "why are you interested in this loser".

Well, it depends on what you regard as "canon" (which is a can of worms I won't really get into).

So there is a fan continuation of Sonic the Comic called Sonic the Comic Online. To celebrate a milestone they got Nigel Kitching, the original lead writer, to write a epilogue for StC called Exit: Sonic. In that its mentioned that Tekno and Amy are living together and raising a son called Johnny (Sonic's the godfather). Not outright stating they're a couple, but heavily implying it to the point you have to be willfully blind to miss it.

So obviously not endorsed by Sega in any way, but it is the lead writer writing an ending for his series later on for what that's worth.

I'm a pretty big fan of Lammy/Katy from Um Jammer Lammy/Parappa the Rapper, enough that it actually inspired me to do my first shipping fanfiction ever. Recently I've also been developing an interest in Amy Rose/Tekno the Canary from the Fleetway Sonic the Comic. You know, if I had a nickel for every furry lesbian couple that was canonized decades after their original works ended by one of the original creators, I'd have two nickels.

You know, nobody's mentioned it the whole time because it's so obvious . . . but it's really rather interesting and quite bizarre the way this mangaka has reimagined angels with the little wings coming out of their frigging heads plus the main wings down around waist level sticking out the sides instead of the traditional out-the-back-around-shoulder-level gig.

The wings on the head thing is something Devilman popularized in manga and anime, it isn't new.

Somebody should just photoshop genitals onto this because this is just looking kinda weird now. Like three different shots in this chapter alone where you should see pussy but there's just blank there.

Not a fan of Oni being translated as Ogre (personal pet peeve, lol), but otherwise this looks great!

Gotta say I'm with you there. Ogres and Oni are not the same thing. Let me put it this way: If I was reading a Western fantasy book written in English, with a Japanese setting, and it had Oni, they'd call them Oni. I know because I've read several such and that's what they do.
For that matter, I've read at least one manga that did have at least one ogre girl who was in fact a Western ogre (along with an elf girl, an orc girl, a werewolf girl etc) so when I saw "Ogre girl" I was glumly expecting an actual ogre girl.

Ogre is the closest Western mythological analogue, though, and while depictions of either aren't exactly what you'd call rigorously consistent they share a lot of traits and themes.

Question, what would you call a creature that has horns and red skin, lives in hell where they torture sinners, and is variously portrayed either as flesh-and-blood monsters or ethereal evil spirits?

I dunno why people ever translated Oni as Ogres because they way more obviously correspond to Western depictions of demons in my view.

Chapters 6 and 7 have translations on Danbooru. Story still isn't complete and the author hasn't made an update in a while I believe.

There was this one demon girl yuri called Devil Drop that's on Lezhin. I remember reading a google translate of it because I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay and the only free scans I could find was a mexican fan translation.

The author of this doujin is a massive stoner, makes a lot of stuff about Touhou characters doing drugs like one where Marisa and Nitori learn how to grow weed in very specific detail. I've even seen someone get really offended because he got in an official Touhou product when he did an illustration for Alternative Facts in Eastern Utopia.
