Wasn't expecting a good ending for this (or at the very least, expected something bittersweet) so I'm pleasantly surprised.

This was a weird one. The thoughts of Pikarin don't really give the full picture of what's going on, so the ending should bring it all together, but it still feels like something is missing. Maybe if I return to this one later my impressions will change.

I had to read it twice to pick up on the cheating part. during the first read I didn't get the clue that she was dating her gf when she brought the other woman home, so the shoes and hair didn't fully mesh. on a second read, it all made more sense.

Yeah, it looks like the author might have intentionally left things vague so that the reveal at the end would confirm that everything with the other girl was recent, thus cheating. I think the other part I found weird was Pikarin's thoughts didn't really indicate that she felt she had done anything wrong. Like, the girl she cheated with came onto her, so why should she feel guilty (even though she clearly does). I guess maybe she just didn't want to admit to herself that what she did was wrong.

lol she 100% did not feel guilty. She hid the slippers intentionally and even casually thought she would give them back. The moment she felt like she didn't get caught, she relaxed and never planned on saying anything. You reap what you sow~ Pikarin deserves a cold death lol

I think in this case, yatsu is referring to the chocolate as thing or type, which is basically calling it 'the chocolate gotten from my company type' or 'the ones I received from my company'. You're right it's not gendered since it doesn't refer to anyone at all lmao xD

Based on what I know from films and TV, pyramids are relatively easy to enter. It's getting out alive that's the hard part.

Just take it from one of BelarusBall's oldest videos: Egypt (modern) led Nepal, Israel and Poland for a tour of Kufu's pyramid, but then a door suddenly closed behind them. After a lot of shenaningans and traps and a mummified III or IV dynasty Egypt escaped from his sarcophagus. Egypt, Nepal and Israel had already died beforehand, and Poland was very lucky to get out of that pyramid, not jus alive, but unharmed as well (the mummified ancient Egypt died by jumping through an opening halfway up the pyramid in a failed attempt to prevent Poland from making it out alive).

I was not expecting to come in here and get an egypt/pyramid lesson.

LOL damn, this manga's great. I love all the twists and it's pretty interesting if you think about it. I wonder if it's the push and pull of consciousness of Ouka's mind that keeps her in a coma and what brings her out of it. Since both Chihaya and Ouka are a figment of the real Ouka's imagination, I wonder if they're the embodiment of some kind from Ouka's consciousness (or lack thereof). Maybe it's all metaphorical, maybe I'm reading too much into it. But it's interesting nevertheless.

Is this the end? It feels like the end and I'm fine with this ending. The chase goes on but instead it becomes the other way around, and who knows, once Ouka wins, maybe it reverses again, another push and pull, a neverending cycle of life, death, and the will to live. Who's to say that Ouka's sanity isn't already shaky, who's to say that any of what she's thinking is real.

Anyway, that was fun :)

I'll be blunt, the low point for this kinda stuff is probably chapter 5 and then it gets less overtly aggressive from that point on. I'm thinking of releasing double chapters to blunt the impact slightly, if possible.

If there is a rape scene, it's generally tag as such you know. Here it's just that MC is guillable and the two neighboors are playing on it. They're just more aggresive (and lesbians) version of Hino-san.

Usually only if it's violent rape rather than that Japanese trope where the character is visibly distressed and keeps saying no but I'm expected to interpret that as her being coy.

I suspect it's an artistic exaggeration of the existing societal expectation that women be extremely demure about wanting sex. There's a pretty massive genre of porn for the fetish of 'innocent/pure' women being corrupted into enjoying sex.
