I appreciate your response and I'm sorry if I overreacted. For what it's worth, I did briefly consider putting a disclaimer or qualifier of some sort on my comment; I suppose I should have.

I understand that this place is a refuge to an extent from all of the toxic masculinity in the world, but I hoped that the fact that Stark is a good male character who doesn't exhibit any of the chauvinistic flaws of other male anime heroes, and respects his female comrades as equals, would dampen any such visceral reactions. I like yuri not specifically because it excludes males but because it generally features more positive representations of both relationships and sex, with most male-oriented such works being a rather prurient and shallow mess of bodily fluids and unhealthy power dynamics. Frieren in general doesn't have a yuri vibe but it promotes healthier het pairings than in other anime/manga, so I hoped fans of the series would understand. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

I would be the first person to tell someone like that to go fuck themselves. I am honestly and truly sorry for whatever experiences you've had in real life, or online. But I find it incredibly offensive that you would read that into my comment; it isn't fair for you to project all of that onto me just for expressing that I find this work alluring in a way that would be natural for a male. I'm sorry but no, I don't think it's reasonable to be uncomfortable when I make a remark that implies nothing more than the fact that I'm a male and these are two of my favorite waifus. I'm really stunned that you think an honest self-expression like that is such a violation of norms--I didn't think appreciation of yuri meant male sexuality was so thoroughly reviled. The sanctimony about "receiving someone as a gift" is absurd on a site that is far from restricted to entirely wholesome representations of lesbian relationships, and I'm sure I could easily find positive comments by almost anyone here on pictures where women were given as "gifts" to other women, possibly coerced into sexual servility, or other such risque themes.
