That's not how you do it ffs https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/how_to_stop_a_hiccup

Have to admit, I was expecting something more along those lines. Probably a more chaste version, given the two of them, but yeah.

What the... Lilie never turned into a human? It was just a dream? I demand a refund!

It's ambiguous. When she wakes up, Lilie is surrounded by the jacket she'd dressed her in. Why? The jacket is extra dog-furred . . . almost as if something with dog fur that was much larger than Lilie the dog had been involved with it. I choose to believe it was real.

They moved really fast, but it's refreshing once in a while to get a pair who know exactly what they want instead of worrying for 50 chapters about whether it's ok because they are girls.

Give me an Amen!

It seems nearly unfair to this magnificent story to call it a "palette cleanser", but after an awful amount of bitter or melodramatic stories I have read lately it truly was a healing experience. This is perhaps what you could call the "ideal" yuri story.

I think to cleanse a palette you'd need turpentine, which might be pretty bitter.

As I see it the story, as in each chapter, is divided in two things: first is their daily lives where the bunnies represent regular people, in turn meaning how the girls only have eyes for each other.

The second part are usually dreams, where things are even more surreal.

The second part often seems to open with the blond MC looking for Maho-chan. Now that I realize the break exists, it makes the whole thing slightly easier to follow, albeit still very odd.

Anybody notice how there were some normal people other than the two girls in a few panels?

There have actually been a couple in the other chapters.

Oh dear, they woke up Petyr.

I suppose I shouldn't quote myself. I was referring to this Petyr:

Somehow although the vibe is really quite different, this sometimes has me thinking of What We Do in the Shadows.

This chapter was great and all, but are we going to just ignore the fact that they did the big dramatic "Now we're going to talk about the scar!" and then . . . didn't actually talk about the scar?

zokoi posted:

I'm sorry but wtf happened on page 15 and page 16?????

From what I understand, the upper part of that "snack bar" bunny was a man?? That just made the "eating snack" interaction fucking creepy now.

maho was inside of the big rabbit suits, that's why she disappeared, was sweating and reappeared behind her

Yeah. Mind you, it's still a bit weird that she fed her her banana. Is this futanari now?

I . . . was not expecting that. Actually when it started happening I kept thinking it would turn out to be just her daydreaming. Whee! Happy to be wrong.

"Can man live on maids alone?"
Well, according to recent research, the human body contains roughly 125,822 calories (that humans can process, anyway); assuming you can preserve it with minimal loss and eat every body part, that's roughly 50 days of food. This assumes, of course, a male cannibal with a really good fridge/freezer. So if a man can commit murder roughly every other month or so, yes, man can live on maids alone. Well, until he gets horrible prion diseases and dies, anyway.

You are a horrible person. Let me reframe that conversation: Countless anime and manga examples have proven beyond any doubt that all maids are secretly trained in the ninja arts, including hunting and survival (not to mention cooking). Therefore, there exists a finite number N, such that N maids are able to form a self-sufficient community able to generate enough surplus food to support a single adult human male regardless of his contributions to production or lack thereof. So yes, a man can live alone on the labor of N maids, at least until they rise up and overthrow him in a glorious revolution of the ninja maid proletariat, forming a new, yuritopian maid society.

...what were we talking about again? I think whatever Zanka is taking has been rubbing off on me...

Okay, you can't tease me with the promise of lesbian ninja maids and then not deliver, I need a full series about this stat

I swear there are one or two of those on Dynasty.

p.s I get a lot of headaches.. i doubt its related but it wouldnt hurt to try drinking more water i guess.. never heard before they can be caused by being a bit dehydrated.

Oh 100% try drinking more water. That's the number one thing doctors suggest when you go in for frequent headaches. In addition, dizziness, lightheadedness, and even feeling tired after sleep are all symptoms of dehydration. Water is super important to our bodies and so if we can't get enough, they stop working 100%. So remember to stay hydrated everyone!

Absolutely. I have a few times even felt a headache coming on, remembered to have something to drink, and it went away; it can be that obvious.
Just to be clear, though, if you don't much like drinking water . . . it doesn't HAVE to be water as such. Every drink is made of almost entirely water, so as long as what you drink isn't too caffeinated or 30% sugar, it will have pretty much the same effect. So, fruit juice, milk, herbal tea, would still work.

Seeing the story progressing so far , I don't think it'll go the romance route , subtext at best.

So im just going to my corner and punching air real quick

I disagree. I was on the fence, but no longer. To me, the last panel of chapter 5, "I want to be able to protect her as well", says this is gonna be romance between the two of them. Wants to be an adult, wants to protect her --> Wants to be her man, even if he hasn't realized it yet.

Nikaidou and Tadakoro's romance was just a bootstrap for the gritty battle manga that this artist actually wanted to draw

Far as I can tell, her ideal seems to be "Gritty battle manga with smooches and hanky panky IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMBAT".
Liberta being exhibit A.

I'm bothered by the term "queen bee" as it's used in chapter 02. It doesn't sound like the right descriptor for Yanxing or that other badass girl at all.

My idea is that whatever they said in Chinese meant that they were like "banchō" of their schools, I mean something like the toughest ones among the students. That's what the attitude of the girl with red-brown hair seems to suggest, that she wants to rule the first-years with strength and sees Yanxing as a rival.

A "queen bee" as we understand it in English is more like the leader of the hotties clique who uses gossip and popularity with boys as her weapons. That doesn't look like Yanxing's style, and even less the way the badass redhead behaves.

I dunno. While that other girl has a bad attitude, it does not seem to me as if she plans to use actual violence or threat of same to lead. It seems like a socially based approach, if in a relatively negative or trash-talking style of social dominance (and for that matter, not very well thought through).

As to her actual tactic . . . I don't feel like I have enough information to judge. It may be her parents are hard-headed and stubborn and there's no way they'd give her a chance to do her thing if she doesn't deceive them.

On the other hand . . . I hate to say it, but they kind of have a point. There are millions of kids in China who are into basketball, and how many on the national team? How many girls get the chance to play professionally in any capacity? Mighty damn few. Unless her talent level is truly ridiculous (and unless she's also incredibly tall, which I'm not seeing here), it's an extreme longshot, and pursuing it could seriously impair her chances of doing other non-dead-end things with her life. Her parents may be spoilsports, but they've got a legit worry.

In some other, more slapstick comic it would turn out that actually she kind of sucks at basketball.

I like het, bit less than yuri but yep like it and like this site.
Anyway, the art is pretty. It gives me Kimi wa Petto vibes

I know, right? That was the first thing I thought of. But heck, I liked Kimi Wa Petto and it's been a fair number of years since--some themes get re-used in manga hundreds of times a year, so I'm not gonna go off on it for being derivative unless it turns out the boy actually arrived here after being run over by Truck-kun.

Kinda reminds me of Hekikai no Aion, only yuri. Hekikai no Aion also featured menacing supernatural ocean stuff, mermaids as monsters, and a bleak, kind of depressing vibe; there's even something about the art that reminds me, although I can't put my finger on what.

Wait, wait . . . they ALREADY KNOW they're into each other? What bizarre heresy against standard yuri is this?

We're not going to have a bunch of chapters each where they're wondering what these odd feelings that they're feeling around each other could POSSIBLY be, and then a bunch where they're thinking, no, it couldn't POSSIBLY be that because they've never felt this way before and anyway they're BOTH GIRLS? I'm shocked.
