Dude that's how you attract viewers to dig into yuri. You start with bi. Don't go full force into yuri bam shit in one go. Citrus was a bad start imo. My straight friends won't even watch that. Series is good but a bit too much.
Yuruyuri? Yeah. It's good, yuri paired up with fresh comedy; attract all kinds of people.

Ok it seems like you don't like those. But, bear with it for some moment. Creators trying to create an anime that multiple kinds of people love, not only for YOU, but US in general, not in lgbt environment.

Well... That's a way to say it but then it causes contradiction as people would mistake yuri as "having been hurt by men? go for women instead" trope and "get back to men if not". Usually, these manga have open ending (save Citrus, who I wanted Yuzu to give up because Mei is too much of a blockhead). Not that it's bad but with NTR and Happy Sugar Life's delire, I almost lost the respect I got from my colleagues at work for being a fan of yuri

As you said, human taste is weird. I fully understand as some show really love playing with our feeling by having one male character being in middle of the girls and giving yuri vibes but not giving up on the harem subtext either (See Re-Kan).

Yuru Yuri is good, not as a yuri show but as a comedy show. Question yuri comedy, my pick would be Yuyushiki in fact.

Talking about which, I wonder what the future of yuri would be. In the past, only class S yuri (bad ends) were allowed to be published but then it became more liberal and now with the straightbait/yuribait combo, I am scared about what could happen 10 years from now on. I fear yuri would die down by that time

Well... This world could be logical. I mean the men went extincts about 90 years before this point of the story. With the technology from pre-world war, medicine should be able to create artificial babies using female genetics (cloning to be more accurate).

Humanity has been priorizine one thing above all; survival. I am sure such thing as fund or hardship would not stop them. Plus, I read somewhere women were people of heart, full of emotion and capable of doing anything for their beloved children.

Even if it took them 30 years to develop that ips technology, it wouldn't be enough to have them extinct. Sure, some countries might disappear but that wasn't mentioned in the manga. Also, as the environment the female being are living in has changed, I am pretty sure they have evolved and most likely will evolve further as to adapt into their new world. It might take centuries or millennium. Who knows.

I personally love this kind of settling where one gender is totally whipped from Earth. I would like to see one manga with this settling but focusing more on politics, affair and military domains. Something à la Code Geass for example.

Anyway, I can't wait to see where this story will lead us to.

I love reading all people’s opinion/theories about the story... but we are talking about “Nana to Kaoru” mangaka here. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t trying to make something “realistic” or “deep”, he just wanted an excuse to draw a lesbian sex scene.

That pretty much sum up everything. The author just felt like drawing some f/f scenes but gave up midway and put some odd endings.

Nice one! I wish we got more good fantasy yuri manga that doesn't involve one of the girls being already engaged with a man or having a backstory of being raped or with a het ending.

Also, this one is 10 chapters long? That's good! I hope we'll get to read the rest.
