For me, Funny Valentine had it worth reading that part.

Part 6 was okay. The main cast and protagonist weren't that interesting. In part 5, the main cast was at least interesting..

I liked the cast of part 6. Bucciarati kept me going on part 5, couldn't really get into the other parts I tried reading.

I still need to finish Sputnik Sweetheart. I got about half way through and got distracted.

I hear The Red Tree and all I can think of is the game Deadly Premonition, though.

I'm not much into Murakami's books, but this one I've read more than once. It grew on me somehow.

About those Caitlín's books, I'd say The Drowning Girl is vastly superior. In fact I liked it so much I own two copies of it, since the publisher here decided to give us a luxurious and gorgeous hardcover edition, which I had to get.

Some of the ones I've read:

The Red Tree (if you enjoy horror) and The Drowning Girl (this one is incredible), by Caitlín R. Kiernan
Sputnik Sweetheart, by Haruki Murakami
Quicksand, by Jun'ichiro Tanizaki.

I see the program I had installed that makes people automatically click on het manga regardless of if they want to read it is working. Only explanation for this thread.

I kind of raise an eyebrow at the folks saying Bridesmaids now isn't a downer because hey, there's a follow-up in an otherwise unrelated series and the MC only had to suffer the heartache anyway, and then be alone for more than a decade. I dunno, I'd consider that still pretty crappy.

I haven't read the follow up, but this actually sounds even worse than the original ending. The Bridesmaid should've just moved on and become happy with someone else.
