I for one am happy that Omi is getting a character to pair off with but... I'm also questioning the need to make her a gradeschooler. Maybe it's just a one-off gag but that doki seems... iffy xD

I think it's obvious that the two are only going to "pair off" in the sense that Omi will have someone to talk to and interact with.

The doki may well be just a route for the characters think about their feelings, but since the MCs are still hedging about actually acting romantically, I think it's highly unlikely that anything serious will happen with the side characters.

you're probably right, though improbability aside, it wouldn't be the first time in a series where a side couple develops further and quicker than the main one xD

A thought - if she doesn't need to bully Elsa anymore once she enters a route, does this mean everything would be solved if only she would accept that Elsa has chosen her route?

Problem is, there's no Yuri route in the original game. We don't know if the system will come up again if she does accept it. We'll have to wait and verify this as the story goes.

She actually doesn't know. There could be a hidden route or it was updated to include it. And games do that especially gatcha games that use romance.

Especially since Evie was only a beta tester for like 3 weeks iirc and she never finished the game (bc of the aforementioned gacha mechanics), so there's a lot she doesn't know

Kasumi, I wonder if she's just been misled by stories about what falling in love feels like so she hasn't recognised that what she has is what couples get after years together.

"Doesn't get romance" has kind of become an "in-between" character trope--it used to be "misled by pop culture about what real romance is" (Yuu in YagaKimi being the most famous example) and now seems to be transitioning to "character on the aro/ace spectrum," (at least as far as many readers are concerned).

When a characters thoughts/behavior overlap with the experiences one has being on such a spectrum it's inevitable that they'll be read as such by those it resonates with, regardless of whether said character was purposefully written to be that way. Especially when there hasn't been any definite word to the contrary.

Pardon me for jumping in, but I feel there may be a miscommunication here. While it may be true that some of us simply want an ending where everyone is happy and would take whatever leads to that result, I think many people who ask for a poly ending to a story are looking for something deeper than a typical harem ending. We aren't looking for dozens/hundreds of chapters of potential romantic partners fighting over the protagonist just to end it abruptly with "well, why can't we all share her together?" A proper polyamorous story involves all partners coming to love each other, not just multiple people all loving the same one person. It takes work to do that properly.

Exactly that, with a small caveat: I don't agree with the last sentence.
A polycule doesn't have to have everyone involved with everyone to be "proper". And a polyam story that handles the relation between the metamours who have mutual partners but a platonic relationship with each other can be just as great and takes just as much work to be done properly as one where everyone gets with everyone.

DIfferent flavors of polyamory but all delicious.

In small kitchens like that mise en place becomes essential. Only having a single burner def sucks though, that's the most limiting factor there imo
