I'm pretty sure a similar plot as the one in chapter 6 happened before, but was only the result of Lily White not yet announcing Spring. Now the issue is resolved by the other fairies, even though in the past story Sunny recognized the powers of Lily.

In short, ZUN again changing the canon like it's no one's business.

@alexuh55: The game, and ZUN, literally refer to her as "tanned Cirno". Apparently it has something to do with the yet unreleased fighting game.

So there you are, seeing Cirno in a game about 4 seasons and with 4 playable characters, thinking she'd be winter, and then ZUN is like: "SURPRISE, MOTHERFUCHER! SHE'S SUMMER!"

Good to see Precia still ditches work to film her daughters Sonomi Daidouji-style.

Also, if that Vivio is from actual dimension, you'd think she'd recognize the lookalikes of the poeple who had her captive.

I can't give any proof, since it's second hand for me too, but supposedly it's a story about Sayuri jumping to parallel worlds trying to protect Yoriko from death that always happens on her 21st birthday, if they are together. In the end, she has to refrain from meeting Yoriko at all, which leads to survival of them both, and they happen to meet after the ominous date, falling in love at first sight.

That makes sense, so it's probably fake. >__>

If there's one thing I like about this author, is how they build up tension that eventually develops into nothing. Like making you think there's an importante reason for a carácter to do something, for it to end up the reason was just because. Since this media is soo obsessed with having deep meanings to all characters actions (like old childhood friendship becoming lovers, or action based stories always having the hero be related to the villain or the main event in the series one way or the other) I always find these interactions a breath of fresh air.

And the T/N note about using your own first-name to refer to yourself is incomplete. Talking about yourself in 3rd person is considered "cute" or "childish" in Japan. When she says "Kasumi likes it too", it's a conscious effort to sound like a young child.

Surely that's not necessarily true? I mean 'conscious effort'? If a character does it all the time - like say Akari in yuru yuri, I usually assume the character to BE childish in nature - not trying so seem like they are.

If this is a way young kids speak but they stop as they get older, then still speaking like that when most have stopped but you were still pretty young would to me indicate they are just maturing slower.

Obviously it CAN be used deliberately to sound cute - but that would be one off separate 'acts'.

I can't see someone talking like it all the time like Kasumi does here if it wasn't natural for them - it would get tiresome fast and you'd keep forgetting to do it.

In the following comics, she panics at one point and forgets to refer to herself in third person (at least per translator's notes).

Saikawa barely appears in the manga after the infamous chapter in her room, but leave it to KyoAni to greatly expand on the Yuri where there was nothing before (new to them, though, the character is now an actual lesbian, or at least in love with someone who happes to be of same sex... and a different species)
