While it's a common name, it's also synonym with "very young boys", in various contexts.

It's also the name of a character in Dragon Maid, for the exact same reasons.

"Shoutacon" is the same as "Lolicon", but for boys.

Shouta is not the same as shota. Just saying.

If this is what a TL looks like before proofreading then I've been greatly underestimating the amount of work proofreaders do. That's more than I can handle.

"Proofreader" is a complete misnomer and as one myself it always irked me a little, since it undersells the work being done as merely checking for typos or the like. "Editor" would be a much more appropriate credit for any scanlation I've worked on, and I typically spend 5-10 hours working on getting a translated chapter into a presentable state.

In fansubbing, that certainly is the work of an editor, but for some reason scanlation has decided to use that title only for image editing, which used to confuse me to no end a first.

are there any manga that's like two girls who are destined to be rivals yet one of them likes the other? kind of like I Favor The Villainess or Shoujo Manga Protagonist x Rival-san? both of them are cute and i'd like to see more of these unique relationships of a one sided love or a one sided love but the other is in denial. specifically villainess and heroine genre.

I think it reads a bit odd because it is a direct translation into English rather than "localization" to make it more native.
I mean, it is easy to understand, but I get why someone would be put off.

I take it English isn't your first language? Because even already the first line of the entire manga has "supplement lessons" instead of "supplementary lessons", and that is not a matter of direct translation vs localization, that is just plain a mistake.

Always perfect. Although now I'm out of downloads for today and will need to wait until tomorrow to see the last few parts...
