Finally caught up. Love the premise of this, ripe for both great comedy shenanigans, and a fair bit of tragic potential as well. Particularly the early chapters, when Hinata still thought she was being bullied, hit me in the feels more than anything. I'm honestly not so fond of the nightmare fuel faces, and the library chapter in particular was just... why... but overall, I'm still really loving this; can't wait to see where things go from here.

I've always thought this, but until now I've never had this opinion validated by another person. Try as I might, I can't see any philosophical value in monogatari. It's always seemed to me like a "worst of" compilation of anime tropes, combined with a very slow pace.

I'm mainly just disappointed on behalf of Chinatsu. I'm glad they didn't go the cliche route of 'pair the spares,' but it feels like she got unceremoniously dropped out about halfway through. Why do childhood friends never seem to be able to catch a break?

This most recent chapter cemented it; I ship the OT3 now. This is such a wonderful series...

2 chapters in, and already Baek Seol-a strikes me as the most lipstick lesbian there ever was. With emphasis on the lesbian, given how disappointed she looked to be surrounded by guys and shunned by women.

Expecting something like embarrassment and misunderstandings for 30 chapters, not being able to convey one's feelings and "what do i do she doesn't like me!!!" stuff. And of course a kiss in 31 chapter. Spoilers, spoilers.

To be honest I'd rather have that than a retread of Secret Recipe.

Even if the storytelling is... bizarre... I really liked the aesthetic of this series; the last couple chapters in particular have managed to convey a sense of color (green, for the shrine, and that particular stormy shade of blue-grey for this one) despite being black and white. And thank you to FbY for translating this!

So far I'm liking the teacher, but the girl strikes me as uncomfortably manipulative. Sure it avoids the usual imbalance of StudentTeacher, but it seems to be going too far in the other direction. I'm just getting some really skeevy vibes from Madarame; hopefully some other girl can come along and sweep teacher off her feet instead.

EDIT: Chapter 8 just makes it even worse. Holy crap, the bad touch is intensifying.

I got the omnibus a couple weeks ago. Was initially just going to read it through slowly, a couple chapters a night, but wound up abandoning that yesterday and just reading the latter half of the first collection and then the entire second book all in one go.

I love it.

I'm not sure what just happened.
But it feels incomplete.

Damn, my feels. This is definitely one of my favorites, and I can't wait to see where things go from here; as others have said, the play is over, but the story is far from. Plus, the anime is coming at some point, so there's that to look forward to...

I've got mixed feelings on the ending, but overall this was an enjoyable read.

Actually, Show promised a slice of life manga with roommates stretching. He delivered a slice of life manga with roommates stretching (one that was going pretty well until he fucked up the pace at the end). No yuri was promised, Stretch wasn't ever tagged as yuri (or even subtext) here. I don't understand why people can't let go about that...

I guess it wouldn't bug me as much if not for Ran's dream and the valentine's chocolates making it pretty clear she had feelings. If it had stayed just subtext it would be one thing, but it was crossing over into outright text just enough to sting
