Mr. Editor please respect Maekawa's personal life, if she says she already has plans for the night, postpone your out of the blue plan for her.
But that aside this manga actually handles cliches really good, so even if 'the long awaited date gets cancelled' card is played here, I'm sure the author will handle it nicely

Also, been having a few too much of such overlapping plans in irl, and those situations really suck

I'm a indecisive person, who may or may not have slight anxiety issues so making such decisions are such a big hurdle that acting in this situation would be a nightmare of different sorts

I too think this move is the biggest red flag
But based how this manga plays out it's either her friend working there with her, or she's supposed to help manage the inventory in the background
None of which are really bright moves, but nothing is bad as public execution by the public

This made me wonder,
Do the scans group people find the 'damn that must have been so hard to translate' comments funny or infuriating in No text stories?

The thing is, the decisions and reactions of the characters in this manga really seem like something people would make if they were trying to sensible in the middle of a confusing and frustrating situation
And regardless of situations we all end up doing something dumb or rash regardless of intention when we have no idea or goal in mind

She's genuinely kind if she doesn't mind such chores.
It takes a lot to reach such a point of compassion.
