Also... I can't help but think that a family at the rank of dukes, who already have a daughter, adopting another from an orphanage, sounds a bit ominous. It could absolutely be an innocent act of kindness, but I don't really expect it.

Watanare isn’t related to them. The manga is serialized through the comic arm of the LN publisher iirc.

To me they’re just doing what a lot do when trying to find the next hit in an increasingly shrinking physical media environment. Casting a wide net while toeing the Netflixication line. There’s only so many pages so the math can be brutal.

Well, the way I see it, they kinda introduced a second sort-of-villain while we still don't know the identity of the mysterious first one :P There's more new threads opening up than there are closing, doesn't seem like a sign of the series ending.

It was one of the few GLs to make it into the Next Manga award nomination list and the mangaka has been campaigning. It seems doubtful it was part of any cuts.

Does Riri just feel more in touch with her feelings and comfortable... if she's not being perceived? She does photoshoots so that would be a kind of reversal. Her parents are really touchy so it's not like she's never been exposed to that kind of relationship.

Aurora killed Lapis and is pretending to be Lapis? I don't follow how the comments got to that one.

Aurora could be living Lapis’ life, aka “taken” her life, but what happened to Lapis is probably driving the guilt and revenge vs her actually killed her by her own hand. You can feel you’re the cause of someone’s death without wanting that or understanding what was happening. She’s a teenager now so what happened was when she was even younger likely. Aurora’s room she retreated to is a time capsule of a child and probably the last time she was herself.

There’s always the story left in the code/ditched/unused rare route that still exists but is either not playable in the game or only unlocked if you do something like go into the forbidden room etc. If anything it’s conventional in these stories for them to be surprised by a game element despite having played hundreds of hours. Natori was normally locked in on the hero character pov right? The goal of the game wasn’t saving the villain’s life so there if there was extra plot hiding in there her different choices this run could unlock it.

Her appearance caught her attention to start things off, but to me she's more speed running what happened to herself but taking on the tutor's role. This time she's in control as the tutor and romantically experienced one of the two. She set an end date instead of a promise, but otherwise she went through all of the things. But unlike the original tutor who apparently did all that and still ghosted without looking back, she caught feelings so is off script.

....I think they're a masculine woman that picks up girls at parties for whatever it is that this group is doing that breaks the rules. The in story playing along and assumption of the character being a man helps with picking up presumably straight, or at least comphet, girls. Maybe I'm entirely reading into it though and they are just an evil man lol

Yeah, they have been trying to lure in and physically separate the two for reasons yet known. But they do seem to be trying to figure out their types and adjust accordingly to facilitate that so having a Prince type seems useful if one of the women appears to lean that way more. They don't seem to have expected them to be this errr....innocent in response to their direct advances though. Their strongest emotional responses are still between each other.

It makes me think of those weird relationships in 6th grade where breaking up meant no more walks home, eating at a different lunch table, and maybe having friends mad at you and picking sides for a weekend before the next drama. She forgot about the guy because it wasn’t real to her and they had done the minimal dating theater for their friends. Fortunately she was spared being forced to kiss him which would have complicated things more.

She needs to break up with him, but dang. If he’s crushed like she’s cheating while they shared rent and a dog and not the basic middle school level thing that was depicted that’d wild.

It's not hard to vote and you can pick and rank three titles. There looks to be 4-5 GL works available for the category and this was my #1. July 7 is the voting cutoff date. Most past winners have ended up with an anime down the road and winning or even ranking high seems to get some level of clout in Japan.

I think you're giving way too much weight to the word "gross" in the context of what was going on. Mitsuki is just not used to getting overwhelmed with these kinds of feelings and caught it spilling out visibly. It's likely a face she's not used to seeing on herself often. She's not actually grossed out at anything she's done with Aya or looking at those photos. She's actually getting creatively wound up by thinking about it all.

Aya has shown being insecure about fitting in with Mitsuki's family who all are fluent in English so she's throwing herself into English studies. She's also not creative in the way Mitsuki is and Hime and Narita have their own things too. She's self-imposed goals for herself that she's not meeting and is missing out on having fun in her senior year which is making her feel an artificial distance growing. It's all self inflicted, but not that unusual when you're at an age where everyone is deciding what to do with their lives and some of them are more outwardly talented in something you rank highly. In this case English and music.

This is going about as well as the first time I played Sims as a tween. At least she's becoming more aware of the limitations. Maybe do more of an interview before turning anyone else.

I don’t read that much of theirs, but they also don’t have that much and still make you scroll through a landslide of BL. Most recently I’ve gotten Boys Gilding the Lily Shall Die?! which I like and they seem to have done an ok job with including speed of volumes.

Just now I clicked into their Pride section and the GL they list look like het to me by the cover and the fact I’ve never seen them around these parts. Hmmm.
