So either gay or ace. Guy didn't get arrested probably because nothing happened yet and the cops were able to take her to the station (and considering they met on a dating app, technically he hadn't done anything to charge him with yet), so thus all focus how on her :/

But yeah I got some intense ace energy from the whole thing, especially forcing yourself into something. Though it might turn into something gay with the busybody girl from the vibes of this manga?

I've enjoyed how everything in this manga has a kind of extremely level-headed answer and conclusion that seems like it's gonna verge into something toxic but then just swings right back to normal.

Oh no mom collapses! control freak! no, she's just overworked and stressed single mom who just wasn't ready to talk about it yet. the reason she doesn't want her daughter to get involved with that stuff is she's the type of person to bullrush into anything 100% of the way and wants her to think first.

which is also has made her endearing to Kira, because she has a lot of associative trauma with high school romance, and there is just this dogged girl who just wants to constantly do the right thing and be good for her with 100% conviction that she can't actually help but be actually smitten with her and her sheer earnestness. Not unlike our MCs mom

Mei discovering herself is great. Thinking you love everyone you kiss is not so great. It feels like a really shallow use of love which in a high school aged character I think I'd be more ready to believe or ignore.

she's like 19 and this is her first time actually being wanted in a relationship. That was like part of the concept at launch in which she was getting rejected by straight girls in high school, but now in college she has a whole bunch of women after her

oh shit she slept with Maria lol you go girl
