I have weirdly overlong middle and ring fingers on both my hands and it's inhibiting my ability to learn guitar and bass more than my general newbie ineptitude, and it's hella frustrating. Even my guitar teacher is all "whoa, in all my years I have never seen anyone with such wildly different finger lengths".

I've wondered, does Kanda consistently just use "watashi"? It was my impression that most dudes would only use that in more polite neutral company and would use "ore" much more commonly (and "boku" with very close circles). Cuz if Kanda is using "watashi" all the time I have to wonder why her dingbat girlfriend isn't wondering why "he" is using such polite speech despite dating. lol

So, I actually got a little hooked on this one, it's the first mobage that I have ever played. I try not to do too much research about who is "best girl" and how best to create a powerhouse character, etc, because I think that kinda takes the fun out of it.

That said, I have turned Yachiyo into pretty much that--my powerhouse, "she never gets to sit things out" character. Her lady love Iroha is sitting around at 4 stars with everything possible maxxed out, just waiting for her 5 star unlock.

Who else out there plays this? My handle on there is Greymoon, if anyone wants to add me as a friend on there. :)

Oh and score, I FINALLY got Ren on one of my draws yesterday. Been wanting her for a while...

Near the end of the manga I mixed up their ages and thought the dog-girl was one and a half. I was going to make a 1 x ½ joke but obviously I thought wrong.

Well it was stated as "one year and 2 months (supposedly)" so you weren't off the mark by too much...

I reckon those who still question whether or not 1 x 1/2 will ever get a little lewd can at least see now that the author is capable of doing so with couples that are somewhat uncomfortable pairings, lol

Chapter 8: Okay so there are 2 identical androids. Sheryl has the first one (if numbers are to be believed) and Claire has the second one. Whoever they are modeled from clearly was someone important. Still leaning towards Claire now being "held hostage" after something dramatic and traumatic caused her original "wife", who those androids are modeled after, to die. Wondering if it will turn out something like her personality was split between the two androids to prevent her from regaining memories and autonomy or something bizarre like that.

I tried really hard to like this one--both the original and this reboot--but for some reason those four "club members" just really REALLY rub me the wrong way. I get irritated every time I read a panel they're involved in.

Not goona lie, I thought for a second this was a new chapter of the novel, and was so excited to get out of angst hell, but then..

When I got to the part of the LN with the pages upon pages of ranting, I thought to myself "I wonder how they are going to manage to depict this in the manga? It's too important to just remove entirely. Man, I bet it's going to end up being Typesetter Hell."

I agree with @shadesofgreymoon describing teens. Teens are a mess dealing with emtions like jealousy even without hinting at some sort of romantic/sexual awakening.

I feel like that's a broad generalization which doesn't hold up if you look at how different cultures have dealt with children/teens. And then if you consider that plenty of adults aren't any better at dealing with those emotions, it's not necessarily about age at that point.

Only it is kinda about age in this case. Adachi is young. She's been more or less socially and emotionally sequestered up till the last year or so, when suddenly she's faced with new big, confusing, kinda scary feelings that she literally has no one to turn to about. She's relying on TV shamans with horoscopes and weirdo fortune tellers in parking lots because she literally has nothing else. It's not even about cultures or differences in them. Just one super confused and increasingly frazzled teenager with bonus slow burn "whoa I'm lesbian" frazzle razzle dazzle. (Yay i'm poetic.)

Both girls suffer from their own versions of social awkwardness. They're only 16ish. Of course they're gonna act weird, at that age all kinds of stuff is weird and new. Especially for Adachi, who has been shown to be especially introverted and in her own head in school and at home; going from Forever Alone to suddenly finding someone who matters, even without the implications of a lesbian awakening, is weird and strange and stressful, especially because she's so secluded and literally has nobody she can talk to about it. It's unfortunate that the person in question happens to be someone who would rather take the easy road to everything, which unfortunately also means she is both willfully ignorant as well as genuinely oblivious due to her disinterest in the world at large. I think its a bit much to try to pin any sort of mental illness on either character. They're just weird teenagers like all teens.

I just wonder how much of it was actually clear and concise and completely understandable, given the state of mind she was in and the fact that she was pretty much sobbing/blubbering about. I'm hoping that some of the more cringe things were at least incomprehensible, and Shimamura just sat there spacing out while Adachi word-vomited everywhere. I will feel slightly less annoyed with Shima's "what a pain" and hangup on an obviously distressed friend if she basically only heard the equivalent of "adpoireupalkboiueopqiruepliajsdflkja;elrjqperijqpwerjadlkj".

Yeah I'm not so clear on TR's actual personality/personhood yet. If like she's just a replica of Claire's true ex partner--remember there's a sort of flashback of a young lady with similar length and color hair to TR reaching out to Claire, but is clearly behaving not in a "your order is my command" sort of way.

Kinda leaning toward Claire being a super genius when it comes to android creation, she had a RL partner that had some sort of Big Bad Thing happen to her and Claire managed to "upload" her into a new android body, and Sheryl is in the mix in there somewhere, discovering this, and does what she has to do in order to manipulate Claire into forgetting who TR really is in order to force her to continue development of a very lucrative technology. Or something like that. I'm sure this will look stupid once the story is finally over and I will be completely off the mark, but it's not fun unless you manage to look like an utter tool after everything has finally been revealed. lol

Oh shi- NO NOT THERE FFFFFFFffff. Dammit now I've got stuff that was packed neatly away spilling out all over the wrong places, just like the spaghetti spilling out of my pockets.

I've actually kinda been in a similar situation to Adachi, when I was around her age. My feelings were definitely one-sided and the object of my desire was utterly oblivious to it, and towards the end, she was also pretty cold and dismissive. I had a breakdown similar to Adachi--just an unstoppable tide of emotions, that of course only served to freak people out, rather than to "get it off my chest" and make me feel better. So I felt that whole last chapter in my soul, lol. Along with the usual massive amounts of secondhand embarrassment that seems to just come with the Adachi package in general.

I don't think we'll need to worry about Uno and Sakagami at all as far as relationship drama. After all, she did more or less actually stand up to her friends who were trying very obviously to set her up with Sakagami, and in doing so made a new friend by standing up for him, too.

She's already taking longer and longer strides toward standing up for herself and doing only what she genuinely wants to do.

Granted, her work friends are kind of like trash mobs in an MMORPG dungeon--easy to clear--and her mom is basically the final boss on heroic mode, but as long as she keeps grinding up those levels she'll eventually be able to stand up to and take down Okaasanus Maximus and win the game. (And also win her beloved Princess, who, while yes, is technically in another castle, it's a castle that she can visit her Princess and her Princess's wise and faithful court mage at, while sharing and imbibing enchanted cat shaped pastries ....)

We're now at chapter 59 of the official English release on Tappy Toon, 2 chapters past where the fan release had to stop almost a year ago.

Can I just say, I pretty much despise every man in this story, because we have yet to meet a single one who isn't a scumbag? But I especially detest that priest and the son. They are both such garbage people. I can't wait to see them get what's coming to them, I will be cackling evilly whilst rubbing my hands together in a most diabolical fashion.
