I think the repeated statements of intent to marry among the girls, and an actual mock marriage ceremony, not to mention the extreme snuggling, planning their futures together, kisses, and so on, are more than enough to qualify this as yuri.

I think it's gonna follow the LN more.

That seems to be true from what I've noticed, since the order of the cases matches the order shown on the TV Tropes recap page. For example, the ninja cats case is after the case in which Toriko and Sorawo rescue the US forces, but the latter was at the end of the anime, after the ninja cats case.

I got into the series through the anime, but while I enjoyed it, I personally find that the manga/light novel's order of events makes significantly more sense. I'm considering purchasing the light novels, but I might start with Volume 3 or 4 and go back to the first two later.

As others have said, you need to read the final story arc of the second book. You can't afford to miss it, because it sets up... well... EVERYTHING that follows.

Personally I would suggest just reading from the beginning anyway.

I'm a little concerned about Magenta's "why does it feel like something's wrong?" question. She appears on the surface to be the most cluelessly innocent of the magical girls, but her intuition has always been on point.

Regardless, I can't help but laugh at Baiser and Azul just transforming a battle into S&M roleplay instead.

Finally, thanks muchly to the translators for continuing this series! It's far too good to let it be lost to what is, by all accounts, a truly terrible platform.

@juanelric: There are these plastic pins, which look rather like the one here, that are in two pieces: you put one piece on one side of a piece of thin fabric and the other piece on the other side. When you push them together they catch the fabric between them and are held up that way.
