This was a great story, I'm glad the author's being getting more recognition for it. It was fun how it bends all the LN tropes but also heartwarming in the end just how much Rei goes through for Clare. Reading her translation site comment though I feel bad, she makes less than 1/3 of Japan's annual income? How strapped for cash are mangaka/writers usually anyway.

This is a fresh take on Akyuu, I've never seen it before. It's also compelling for tying in Renko/Maribel for the possibility of a future Child of Mare who will be freed from writing the chronicle.This is really nice.

If it's that scene, then that's actually the scene that made me think Rika wouldn't reject Ren so unerringly. I even read it before I knew anything about Rika and Ren, and the feeling it gave me was that they trusted each other and Rika would believe in her wish having a purpose because of Ren.

This is great, thanks for sharing it. I'm up for interviews with some of my favorite authors of all time.

Edit: Have properly read it now, and this is fantastic. Iruma outright admitted he wrote the first volume without the future in mind and that he doesn't really remember it anymore, so it makes a lot of sense Shima and Adachi from volume 1 might be OOC in the grand picture.

It's pretty interesting seeing how people got into the genre. I never really saw it as being a distinct genre that needed to be broken into, though I acknowledge it has its unique history and culture, because I was just trying to find works with lesbian relationships. Read webcomics with those and while I was searching for some specific FxF manga, came across Dynasty-Scans and that's how I became stuck.

Going back to the original question, the survey results are the best data I know of and they say yes. There's a pretty evenly split proportion of male/female, LGBTQ / not LGBTQ readers. Personally I was shocked to realize "straight cis guys" were the plurality of the readership, though maybe that's not that surprising.

This is pretty sad, I can't even clear Chernobog with no contingencies. At least this event is making me realize all of the areas I need stronger operators in.

I'm right there with you. I E2'd my mostima and in this event is pretty useless lol.
My E2 Lappland and my E2 S2M3 Specter barely carried me through Risk 3 in both maps.

Have cleared Chernobog now at the very least, though only at risk 1.

Train 2 Vanguards and a heal Defender, thank me later. You needed a few snipers for yesterday's daily. Gummy is really useful in CC, you don't need Saria unless you're going for the silly difficulties. Train your Gravel to e1 as well as .

I got very lucky in recruitment and managed to snag Saria through a top operator tag. Problem is that all of my units are underleveled and there's only so much sanity provided each day so I can grind for LMD / battle records / promoting materials. Although on the topic of vanguards, is investing in Fang preferable over the 4* options like Scavenger or Courier? I thought it might be because of Fang's lowered DP cost but don't know if she's useful long term.

I gave up on clearing out the shop entirely, but it was close enough. Only some books and lower level awakening materials were left.

Finally got my 5* Iroha, yaaaaaaaaayyyy

Yeah it's nice finally having 5* Iroha. I love her as a character, even more than Madoka probably, so I'm happy being able to add her to my PVE team now.

Finished episode 1 + first node of episode 2, and have to wonder why Eve is a moth. Not that familiar with the mythology around them, though I know they do have associations with transformation/transfiguration. The backgrounds are lovely, they've got that grimy, end of the world look down. I also see they were very particular about how Eve is a half-witch, just so Ui can be saved. Unlike Sayaka. And every other witch.

On another note, before I knew much about Hinano, I was confused as to why she was the only 2* I owned who already had an unlockable doppel. After I learned more about her, I found out that was probably because she is awesome and getting to see her have a moment of glory in coordinating the magical girls' defense, with even Nanaka deferring to her, is satisfying.

FluffyCow and Random already explained above, but Lappland was fine, just sleeping, woke up, and decided to pull a prank. The reason Lappland not recognizing Texas is so shocking is because Lappland has an obsession with Texas. And the reason Texas was so scared is because under normal circumstances, the only way Lappland would forget about Texas would be through something drastic, like her Oripathy getting worse.

Later story events have shown that Rika still kinda hates herself over her wish and she's never really gotten over it, though she's very good at hiding it.

You might not see this a month later, but could I know what story events those are? The name of the event or chapter number without spoilers would be appreciated.

I never figured out what the the thing on her neck was. Just a scar? Or is it a hole in her throat? I guess a scar since her head's not sagging forward, which it would if all of that was a hole.

There was a comment somewhere on the first page about how this could be a metaphor for dementia/alzheimer's. Dementia does get explicitly mentioned in chapter 12, so probably that's part of it. The more obvious topic it's tackling is grief and death, as most zombie stories do. In this case love that transcends tragic death. The love demonstrated throughout was palpable. Well, it could easily be argued its a twisted sort of love, but I'll say its love anyway. From Hana's parents, from that doctor, and from Makoto. And of course from Hana to Makoto. So I have to respect a story that can make such a visceral, solid depiction of love.

I think I would have been in the same place if I hadn't read a guide. The shop is confusing.

Yeah I've determined I'm severely underleveled for the contracts. Most of my units are at E1 lvl 1 at best and they really need to be stronger to stand a chance against higher contingency levels. Hopefully by the end of the event I'll be able to reliably clear contingency lvl 4s.

Thanks for the thoughts. In summary, potentially appealing themes, good characters, and rougher gameplay. It is on sale right now and heavily discounted, so I'll definitely consider getting it.

Very good. I was expecting development of their relationship regarding their base interactions and was not disappointed. Once again, and probably for every chapter after this one too, I have to commend this author for his(?) careful elevation of mundane life events and thoughts into something profound. They're just going to school, they don't have a big play or festival or anything like that to work towards. But even Adachi showing up to Shima's house multiple times or thoughts rolling around about their relationship to the world around them take on a quality of depth that's so hard to achieve. The biggest drama is the one playing in their heads, with each other, not necessarily the real world around them and being able to show that is amazing.

I don't know why I always do this to myself, but I'll cave and add this to my to watch/read list for the yuri. I don't even know anything else about the story.

Anybody have any quick thoughts on the game outside of the yuri subtext? Like would its gameplay/story make it a worthwhile investment/use of time.

this pic always struck more as Yachiyo not being afraid/accepting of Iroha even as she looks terrifying with the demon bird attached to her hair.

Oh is it her doppel? Clearly I've never seen it before. That gives the picture a touching context then. The look on Yachiyo's face and the way she's holding her is gentle despite the unsettling circumstances.

I got Angelina from the new banner and two Texas. Which isn't bad of course cause I didn't have either of them before, but was hoping for SilverAsh or Ch'en. Would really like to pull again, but considering I'm stuck on 3-8 and can't get any more of the 3 star stones for a while, not betting on it.

These contracts are nigh impossible for me. It sort of seems like they expected at least E2 for most characters. I barely managed to stumble through a Plaza contingency lvl 1 and 2, and with my current roster of only E1s, it's going to be a while before I can move any further.

By stopping the uploads of these pictures? It is strange though, the contrast between how beautiful their artwork is and how potentially messed up some of the pictures are.

Like this one is so pretty, nice shading, vivid coloring, lines of differential thickness for texture, and can't forget the hair/bandages spooling everywhere. But the deep red bleeding into pink plus the shadow Iroha casts on Yachiyo's face gives it a purposefully unsettling feeling. Admittedly I like it though as I can believe that Yachiyo is still being nice and gentle with Iroha despite the dark undertones.

@Clueless1, that's unlikely as Nakatani-sensei has stated she's basically told all the story she wants to with them. And Yuu and Touko's story as it is told in YagaKimi was never really meant to be an unending slice of life.

I personally just added a bunch of randoms(hah), the players here and a bunch of ppl in the AL chat. I have max friends, only had to delete 2-3 inactive players so far.

That sounds like a good idea, I'll try that soon so I have more reliable support. Shockingly though I've managed to add 35 people just by typing in random names. My friend list is now filled with "Homura"s, "meow"s, "Bread"s, and similar, which is hilarious to me.
