As odd as it sounds, I totally ship it. Sakura is exactly the sort of level-headed no-nonsense girlfriend Toba needs to keep her in line.

Like, Rin just made a huge detour and cancel her own camping just to check on Nadeshiko. The first is just that Rin don't wanna have come all the way here for nothing and the second is just that's it's late and same reasoning than before, Sakura is just nice because she know all the road that RIn has done to come here.

This is moving the goalposts, tho. You can certainly ship Rin with Nadeshiko for a variety of reasons.

But there are clear interactions between Rin and Sakura that quite easily lend themselves to shipping if that's how you wanna roll. It's not some huge mystery.

We know that Yukiho has redeeming qualities and we know that the story has a happy ending (in at least the immediate future) because the structure of the story is a light-hearted RomCom, not an angsty drama. The mangaka didn't telegraph that love confession in front of the fountain for nothing.

Aside from which, the omake makes it even more clear. They've been dating for a month (wouldn't happen if Yukiho didn't have redeeming qualities) AND Yukiho confesses love to someone for the first time. She's a good egg even if we don't see it on the page.

I thought it was plenty cute.

It doesn't exist in the real world, obviously. It takes place in the RomCom universe, which superficially resembles the real world to a large degree but isn't the real world because people in the RomCom universe don't behave like actual humans.

But with that caveat in mind, it was sweet and funny and romantic.
