I'm lost in these last few pages of comments. I don't understand who stands on what side of what argument.

My take:

  • Is Mitsuki trans? There's no evidence she is. I don't think the author factored that take in. So, I'll err on the side of "No, she's not".

  • Can Mitsuki's experience in life (the outlier hiding their true self and feeling uncomfortable in their assigned role) be taken as something similar to what a transman would feel? Sure, if that's how you want to interpret it, you can. Just don't drag the author or Mitsuki herself in it.

  • Are people taking gender politics too seriously? You bet they do.

Now, let's pit Colette against Yucca or Eve and make Emielle choose.

I mean, both of them have actual reasons to hate humans and especially Vampire Hunters.

Don't really get that dialogue, tbh. Guess there's an explanation above^ and it's not like I don't understand it in the literal sense, but I don't really get what it means to convey, from the page alone. "I can hear you"? Yeah? Okay ... ^^;

The original Japanese leaves some room for interpretation and is therefore slightly ambiguous, but based on the context and Aya's posture/line of sight, my understanding of it was that Aya's taking a picture of Mitsuki and telling her to look at the camera, but the latter doesn't want to and is lowkey ignoring the request. E.g.,

Aya: "Come on, look this way!"
Mitsuki: "Yes, I can hear you just fine..."

No. I rather think Aya is looking at a "Map" application's directions on her phone, as they're both going "somewhere".

They maybe previously had an argument about "which way" it was and now, Mitsuki is just following and looking blasé at Aya's excitation, but still taking a pic as she thinks she's cute anyway.

I think the goal was that the author wanted to "imagine" some merch they would wear. Like the bags, the rings, the stickers.

While adding some details, like the photos.

funny twist, but the first page is a bit too misleading to be honest.

Or the original wasn't first person and the author was more clever than that.

What I like in this one is that they're acting like adults. Both women never get angsty, or even pondering about "but we're both women!".

Both Kashiwai and Tsuzuki just accept that being in love with someone of the same sex happens and it's perfectly fine. It's refreshing to see characters being adults and giving not a single fuck about what "society" could think. Tsuzuki was already there, being in an open relationship, but Kashiwai quickly caught up. She came out at her job, dumped her boyfriend and was really upfront about wanting to get physical with Tsuzuki.

Parents? Family? Colleagues? Friends? "They'll take me as I am or they can go to hell. For once, I'm in love and that's what's important."

She only felt guilty at first because she was betraying Jun. But on the other hand, we can see that Jun just noped the fuck out at the first hint she might have cheated on him. He didn't ask, didn't try to talk, just ran away. Meaning that he wasn't really in love with Kashiwai either. He was just doing what everyone was expecting of him: marrying, having one or two kids, working hard at his job. Working hard at his relationship? Nope. He'll find another one in no time: men with a stable job are in high demand in Japan.

As for people complaining that it's not a good representation of polyamory, they may be right, because in the end, it's not strictly "polyamory", but an open relationship. One could even say it's a bisexual harem. While Tsuzuki loves all of her partners, the others don't have to love or sex each other for it to work. They just have to accept to share. And it takes adults to do this. Not manchilds like Jun.

And contrary to what people expect, I think we'll get a happy ending and the four ways relationship will work, because Kashiwai and Tsuzuki want it to work. Tsuzuki is free. And that's what Kashiwai loves about her. The end of this chapter shows that Tsuzuki really cares about Kashiwai: making her breakfast, walking her to the station, talking about taking her to the beach, or pool... In the end, she's everything Kashiwai wanted for a partner.

Someone she wants to stay together forever and walk down the aisle with.

The pace obviously accelerated madly.

I'm going to miss it. I hope she starts a new series soon.

To me, "pedophilia" (or lolicon) is when one of the characters is under 14. At 14, you're a teen and should be aware of sexuality and how it works. Sex ed exists in Japanese middle schools you know. This manga doesn't need more than the "Age gap" tag.

Seeing where this is published, it won't get lewd. At most ecchi (like, skimpy cosplays).

So, people shitting on this because Hinata is 14 feels ridiculous and a prejudice.

I'm reminded of that BDSM lolicon manga by Nanatsu Fuji.

This could become quite hot.

Sorry but I just hate this author mangas hahaha they're too empty and extremely fast-paced it's impossible to connect with anything

You'll notice they're almost all 4 pages.

It's obvious it's short twitter stuff, without much meaning, but always with a happy end.

Oneshot and kinda old school.

Still nice, but leaves wanting.

It was better for her to stand out for being weird rather than stand out for being gay.

Guess it's what it's hinting at.

But all's well that ends well.

I'm confused on who she was texting and what she was texting on the last page

I think it's someone who's helping her perform in a live-house.

But I thought she didn't have any friends?

I think there's a timeskip between page 3 and 4: she changed top in the meantime. Which means the one texting her must be her uncle, who probably asked to the owner of a venue if she could play there.

Nice one. Didn’t notice that.

Also, if you look closer at the top left panel of page 4, you'll see it's her room. We can see the corner of her bed (and it makes sense that the guitar would be in her room too).

oh My YESSSSSSSSS I hope so.

But wait, this author has 3 ongoing series?! Is she okay?!

That makes two only with this one actually.

"Tiger & Hummingbird" is complete at 4 volumes since a while.

So, a single monthly series + a quarterly series should be sustainable.

I totally didn't get the third possible reason that Hato suggested. Is she saying Suga-san doesn't see Miyako in romantic light because she didn't do so from the very beginning? Why is it manga-like?

She means that Asako might not see Miyako as a potential romantic partner at all.

She's her type, but she also her landlord, there's an age gap and she's an ex celeb. Asako unconsciously crossed her out as a possible partner (plus she's still in trauma because of being dumped: in the manga, only a few months passed).

As for why it's manga-like, maybe it's something that happens a lot in manga? We probably didn't read enough romance manga to get the ref.

Anyway, Asako seems to be traumatized by birthdays...

I can't remember--have we established whether these vampires kill people when they suck blood? I notice on this hunt there's a human kind of flat on their back, either out cold or dead. If these cute kids are doing a murder every time they go out for a meal, that's an awful lot of death on the human side and suddenly I'd be kind of sympathetic to the vampire hunters.

As others said, it's been established from chapter 1 that they don't need to kill them (and are taught not to), for obvious reasons. If people were dying left and right, drained from their blood, the hunt would be a lot more intense. It's not in their interest to kill their livestock.

But, as stated on this page at the bottom, while they are told to be careful not to kill, some vampires don't feel much qualms.

Did you read Hourou Musuko?

Pretty sure that series ended with the trans female protagonist telling her girlfriend that she wants to be a girl and her girlfriend responds with "I guess that makes me a lesbian"

Pretty sure that series ended with the "transboy" Yoshino, who went as far a buying a binder and felt their identity was a boy for most of the series, finally deciding that being a girl and being called cute wasn't all that bad and it made things easier in life, so just abandoned that whole gender identity thing and wasn't feeling worse for it. Just felt a bit guilty to have abandoned her friend on the trans road. It was just a phase.

I sure hope this one doesn't go that route for the MC where they finally find love and accept the gender they were assigned at birth with.

Yoshino was all about being a boy.

Then she wasn't.
