I don't even need to read the latest comments to know it's going to be a slugfest.

It's how a het person imagines lesbians/gay people to be: that what drives their whole life is sex.

The cute art is wasted on this series.

Putting aside the fact the story actually explores and develops Aya's character in a surprisingly effective way for what initially seems like cheap smut, and it also has some really good insight about lesbianism in later chapters, you're completely ignoring the way the scenario is set-up.

Aya going for the sexual approach from the get-go is precisely because Marika wanted to do compensated dating from the start and she is so prejudiced that she would rather be molested than act lovey-dovey with Aya.

I don't think all the manga projects were canned but just the Marine one drawn by Mizuryu Kei since he had a public meltdown a few days ago and took his Twitter to say he had broke any ties with Cover. He seemingly realized how stupid his outburst was and quickly took down all related tweets but the damage was already done.

^It's... complicated.
The gist of it is that Kiara and Calli have known each other for millennia, being a phoenix and a reaper, and they've become good friends over time. Kiara is completely smitten by Calli but Calli is a classic tsundere and always keeps her at an arm's length but Kiara is slowly chipping her way into Calli's heart. Although things are going to get rough since Kiara is leaving Japan this month.
