Though it's funny (& sad) I can't see why she would bother - from her perspective. It's not like she can see the illusion panel 1 & 2 give.

To make sense you'd need a camera set up to take pics in the last panel or something - if she was taking fake photos for herself to look like she was with Marisa then she'd have reason to do it.

blargh201 - If you lop off the top of your avatar above her head (inc most of the top knot?) you can then resize it to max height and get a bigger clearer image that is less thin.. Also a 2 minute cut and paste will get rid of the bubble.

Normally I think vampires suck - in both senses - Remi being one of the only vampire characters I like +(flan) - but this seems like it will be good!

Like I say, it defies rational analysis. Which is why I don't bother trying to rationally analyze it.

Yes I got the impression Mari is her first relationship - they are only in their early 20's - it.s not that uncommon.

And seeing people kiss in movies or life is not the same as doing it yourself. If you watch someone ride a bike it doesn't mean you can.

And sure anyone can mash their lips to someones - she doesn't literally mean she doesn't know the basic Mechanics of kissing - she means since she has forgotten her past kisses she has forgot her skill in it - lacks the confidence and worries she would be bad at it, and it makes her nervous to have basically her first kiss again.

I wonder if her personality has changed since the accident?

She used to be the 'top' but we learned Arisa first kissed Mari when she was drunk - so maybe she was the same as she is now - she just needs to get over that first time, and then her natural enthusiasm will kick in and she will be taking the lead all the time again.

Not so much that she is a dominant sort - she might be quite shy - just she is very enthusiastic. OR maybe before the accident she WAS a lot more dominant and confident and less shy? I know brain damage can totally alter your personality.

I really enjoy this series :) The art is great with good character design, too, and great dialogue.
It is sweet and funny, and yet despite being mainly a comedy their relationship and the stuff happening all feel realistic and natural :)

I wouldn't recommend any normally since you said you were new to yuri and probably haven't got into touhou yet but this is one of the few Alt reality / AU touhou - typical school girl setting and anybody can read it without even knowing it's touhou related and fully enjoy it - no knowledge required.

p.s Every yuri fan is seriously missing out if they don't get into touhou at some point :) Maybe save it till you have read most of the other yuri on the site that appeals, in a year or whatever - but I mean probably 25% of the site is touhou! and it has some amazing characters! I recommend starting with the obvious pairing tags like reimu/marisa or marisa x alice and just working through them - before you notice it you will be familiar with the world and everyone in it :)

Is Kotone x Shizuku incest? Since Shizuku is a part of Kotone's extended family.. I doubt it is, but I just want to make sure since I'm really dumb.

They are cousins but I can't find anything stating how closely they are related. I believe first cousins gets tagged Incest, so I think it's assumed that they are more distant than that.

I assumed It was first cousins - we only really call first cousins cousins here - we would just say he is your dads cousin - or your 2nd cousin for further removed cousins (at least in my experience - it might differ in other parts of the uk).

I know it might be different in Japan and they use a generic cousin word for all of them but that's how I thought of it.

Also in the uk it wouldn't be officially incest if they were first cousins - they could legally marry - most people here would be more or less ok with cousins marrying - though many would kinda think it incest-y and a bit weird, it wouldn't be a shock or outrage type thing - so from my perspective an incest tag can be left out - or used equally accurately.

Not sure what the incest laws are in Japan though I heard they are fairly relaxed?

Hmm, what does that "drawing job" thing in the end mean? The only thing I can think of is, you know, a job where you draw stuff, but that doesn't really make sense... Also, what's the secret that Haruka's hiding again?

Seeing Yuu kabedon-ing Haruka was unexpected, great, and unexpectedly great. Here's hoping it happens again in the future.

Though I didn't get it exactly either, the drawing job didn't seem very important - like Yuzu was joking - something to do with the culture festival - the previous chapter was all about making the drawings - posters - for the festival - I remember Haruka offering but her drawings are awful.

That Haruka has been treating Sumisumi like a younger sister was the secret - not a big deal since they both really seem to see it that way - Sumisumi lacks confidence in her role and looks up to Haruka for some reason and wants to be pampered by her even though she is older than Haruka, and Haruka seems to like looking after her like she was a younger sister.

I didn't detect any hint of romance from them personally but If Yuu saw it I'm sure she would get jealous still. As we saw in this episode she really gets jealous a lot quicker than Haruka even though Haruka is the most open about her feelings.

And I agree seeing Yuu kabadon Haruka was indeed great :) If they ever become a proper couple I think it likely Yuu would be the dominant one.

I don't think it needs a pseudo-incest tag - imo that should be reserved for siblings by marriage who have grown up together - or at least spent a long time together and they feel / act like siblings etc. These 2 became 'sisters' like a few weeks ago or whatever it is.

It's like if they were already a couple of several years then their parents got married - I don't see how it would be pseudo incest because they wouldn't feel or act at all like sisters, and it seems the same here.

I like this sooo much but I miss one chapter, I mean, when the last duo start going out? I re-read the serie and I saw that Kiyo was in love with Nanao, the other was in love with Kiyo and Kiyo said "Is there a reason you didn't tell them about us?" in page 5 so when they start dating? I wanna read that chapter, should be beautiful q.q but even whitout it, I really enjoy this and the fact of continuing the serie 10 years later xD

We saw in that chapter (chatting in our pjs) Kiyo already gave up on Nanao - what you might have missed is the new following chapter that was added only last year about Kiyo and her friend who is in love with her - but Kiyo doesn't know it.

I would have loved to see how Kiyo got a girlfriend too! Gona have to go back and read it to see if her GF was at that sleep over or we see her in other classroom scenes.

Sweet blue flower (aka Aoi hana) by Shimura Takako (though this one is too soap opera / angsty / gloomy for some of its far too big cast, for some people - ending is abrupt and you miss out seeing the goodness to come)

Amazing name indeed. I'd be interested, but don't speak any Japanese...

Use visual novel reader or something - you get at the worst something vague to half decent - sometimes better depending on the game.

Shouldn't it be tagged brave witches really? I know it's the strike witches universe but this squads anime is called brave witches after all.

^Breakdanceanomicon as the tag says brave witches is a strike witches spin off - takes place at same time, has a few guest appearances.

^Minutoh - do you include strike witches in that? Brave witches has less fan service than strike witches - season 2 of strike witches plus the movie & ova's also had notably less than season 1.

I wouldn't call even season 1 an ecchi anime though it's too tame - just a lot of over the top fan service (chest and panty shots, wearing swimsuits etc), but there is lots more to it. The series would be better without it but they just make me roll my eyes or chuckle wryly - I don't think even teenage boys like stuff so silly do they?

The take away though is the show is good in many other ways (esp s2) like the characters / action / animation / VO, music, strong yuri subtext etc that the silly fan service stuff only detracts from it a little for me.

You can start with s2 if that stuff bothers you more than me, there is a lot less of it bar 1 throw away ep.

Brave witches has even less but I didn't like the characters nearly as much.
