That was so well written.
I was always, and still am, terrible at socializing except in my case it was pretty much intentional. ^^;

I'm glad she didn't do the kiss and how she thought that she would rather be the one kissed seems more her character also.

Well, that, and, yannow, consent is sexy, I'm glad Adachi figured that out. "How the kiss came to happen mattered.". Gettin' smooched by your "friend" while you're sleeping and thus unable to say "aye" or "nay" is more than a tad creepy and insensitive.

Plus that particular trope has been overused IMO. Too many authors who can't figure out how to progress a relationship logically to the destination they want with the characters and situations they've developed, so resort to drastic (and usually kinda dumb) measures. It's not quite on par with the "running to school with a piece of toast hanging out of the mouth" or "accidentally run into someone who is also running and we both turn the same corner and OOPS WE KISSED" tropes that have been used to death... but still, overused.

I remember feeling that way about a few stories a while back . . .

Basic human decency dictates that you actually tell a person why you break up with them and don't just make a half-assed excuse.

I saw a poll a while back that said a slight majority do this even though majority hate being broken up with that way.

That was as lovely as the first chapter.

I think she was just panicking. I don't think she is as horrible as the kind of people she sounds exactly like in this instance. I think she would say it but phrase it differently. I could be wrong though.

She just seems like more of a ditz than a mean person.

Daaaaaaw. They try so hard. And Sae is so considerate. My like of her just rose a few notches.

Love everything about this story. Except the secret dating thing. Would really like that dealt with but apart from that it's terrific! So many of the things I bitch about wanting in a Yuri.

I was just rereading the chapters where they started dating, and the reason why they keep it a secret is actually one of my favorite parts of the series. Because they know their friends would be unbearable. Just like how they went to tease the other girl who got a girlfriend.

I respectfully do not agree. The teasing wouldn't last long. You'd have to have issues to bring it up every time. You'd reign it in or be told to take a hike.

The little sister is ok so far but characters like her usually annoy me too.

Edit: I suppose and hope it goes without saying that this is just me. I don't expect this or any author to drop elements just cause I don't like them.

Fair enough. I say the same about most of the yuri I read. The likable thing not the glasses thing. I happen to like these characters but to each their own and all that.

It seems to be far more common in Japan than western nations to refer to people by their last name. Here it's typically reserved for teachers or coworkers above you in the foodchain or, if you work in customer service, for customers you need to refer to by name. Yeah, I get it but it is so damn overplayed at this point that it just comes off as being real cheap. I figured this author would use a bit better way of convening drama than something so token as that.

You know I've always been terrible at remember characters names until this story an Useless Princess. ^^;

Chances that Nene fell out of love with Amane for “no real reason” = [ Maybe more than 0, but vanishingly small.]

Sure, things “just happen that way” in real life, but they rarely do in stories, and I don’t get the sense that this one is going for gritty everyday realism.

Stories are about reasons, and when one is withheld like the reason for that breakup (given the story’s focus on the former-ness of the Nene-Amane romantic relationship), it’s highly unlikely to turn out to be that Nene just realized the day before graduation that she wasn’t all that into Amane anymore.

My money is on something else going on with Nene that we know very little about as of yet.

I Agree with this one, THIS IS A FREAKIN STORY, Story and Real Life are different, we go with the story cuz real life is boring, so It might really happen in real life that 1 day, people suddenly realize they doesn't love the same person they loved yesterday, but that doesn't happen in story, so the chances of it being just fell out of love in just one day is impossible. It happens, but not in fiction.

EDIT: I'm not saying Nene is wrong in the story, it is just it is almost impossible on what some people saying that "maybe" she really just fell out of love.

Were talking about stuff someone "made up" therefore its not Impossible. I could make up a story right now where it happens. It wouldn't be good for a number of others reasons but that's s different topic.

I've literally read stories where it happened. Some were yuri even. though the two I'm thinking of right now they got back together.

I don't think it has to be as simple as fell out if love. There could be other small factors but I do happen to think its as I interesting a subject as "evil" conspiracy plot made it happen or whatever.

I don't get why you all blame Nene. She isn't forced to give a reason for breaking up it might as well be true that she doesn't like her anymore which is a fine reason. Staying friends was Amane's choice.

I'd like it to be something normal like that. Id rather it not also be a plot from lizard sempai.
