So are we to assume she just happens to read the same lesbian forum or something and thought that post must be about her? I guess if its some sort of local forum like 'lesbians of X city' then it would be a reasonable assumtion.

I think the implication could simply be that she read the same forum, and as a doctor who found herself in a similar situation appreciated "Troll comentor 2" 's suggestion, regardless of wether she think the original prompt was specifically about her.
