I'm a little surprised at how popular this ship is. It's a great ship of course, but I think most yuri fans probably didn't choose Golden Deer since it's the only house without any gay options, and Hilda can't even be recruited on Crimson Flower where you need to go for BylethxEdelgard.

The only answer is that even non-yuri fans see the gay here.

I love this cover art and I can't wait to get these books.

Some things are really good about this, like the depiction of a sexual harassment and the results of coming forward about it, and Takase's character writing in general over the course of things. I relate to her more strongly than I'd like to admit (the personality in general, not the sexual harassment).

Then some things were really not good, like the random coincidence of the one person you want most finding you on the street in your time of need out of nowhere and "Oops, I fell and accidentally kissed you."

She's straight, yeah. I mean, she was sitting up straight on top of her senpai, so that counts, right?

Like it's a manga, so I can suspend my disbelief to an extent but,,,, It would literally be a dead give away.

There are people who sound like they could be either gender. You could also say that since Ookuma believes Kanda to be a guy she subconsciously hears her voice as being more masculine than it may actually be.

Kissing on the lips may be harder, but you have other options now...
