Hah! I was wondering about the two of them being long-lost childhood friends since the first chapter, and it looks like I was right! I'll bet that it was something to do with Lily that caused Marika to be obsessed with being "normal".
Reimu's pose for Yukari's hug (grope) reminds me of that one Spongebob caveman meme. I wonder if that was intentional? I'm kinda surprised a Japanese artist would know that meme.
Also, I definitely agree that this is all-around great. Especially Alice's reaction.
I'm amazed at how poorly written this manga is about the consequences of a society without men.
The author just made a replica of our world, but without men. Period. No societal changes, no personal behavior change, not even dressing codes change.
It's just like the men vanished yesterday and, somehow, everyone's memory was rewritten to forget about them.
This point is brought up in chapter 4.2, where Lily notes how the histories of the two worlds get more and more similar the closer to the present day it is. So this is probably on purpose and will be a plot point in the future.
The depiction of Ichika as just a completely smitten maiden is really great. Not something you see too often.
That's my biggest take away of this, too. She's still in the phase of "I don't care if it's unrequited, just being close to the one I love is good enough!"
This is pretty fun so far. Ichika is so super gay for Aria, it's both cute and funny.
For the next chapter, I'm betting that the other girl, Sena, had been bitten by another vampire that's in the area, though Ichika will think it's Aria at first.
I'd been wondering why the story changed so dramatically. I'd been invested in all the side characters too, not to mention Qui Tong and Sun Jing's progressing relationship...
I like Mizore's face on the last panel - it's like she's caught between thinking "Wait, why is she mad at me!?" and "Oh wow, Nozomi is cute whent she's pouting like that!"
There's a surprising amount of Arc x Ciel on Pixiv, though most of it is fairly old by now. I know this pairing isn't particularly plausible, but I like it.
@Valanz There's an official Fire Emblem Heroes comic here with Cherche and Minerva, with the two Minerva's getting their names mixed up and Cherche teasing her about it.
Yeah, that’s what I heard too. It’s not like “Meltryllis” is only being used by the localized version, her page on the Japanese FGO materials book (which came out way before Melt was released for the international version) also spelled her name as that. It’s a bit different from the Altria/Artoria situation since “Altoria” was already used in translated material before TM decided to change it.
Also Amaryllis are known as “naked ladies” and are known for being very tall flowers, so it fits Melt too.
