But now its routine for the MC and the "foes" are becomming hit and miss, by all apearances Domyou will have to carry this "arc"

I'm all for Domyou joining the sex bouts -- and finding herself a girlfriend in the process. Heaven knows she needs one. She's so repressed and frustrated...

When I heard that this volume's story theme was "the search for the missing Nakano" I was afraid it meant that the sexy times would be toned down.

Luckily, it ain't so.

Is this... progress?

No, this is an explosion that just blasted all the presuppositions of this setting into smithereens.

. . . Wait, I'm sorry. That story started, and I earnestly thought it was an example of how absurdly pedantic people can be, but no, you're taking the side of the nitpicky literalist crowd?

Funny that you said literalist. I remember the episode and I remember his exact words were: "She can literally have any man she wants." Literally, he said. Maybe the poor guy was just trying to reinforce his statement and didn't know what "literally" actually means, but that's what he wrote. So yeah, people were right in taking his words literally and your whole message has no point.

Btw, the side KxY's taking is the side of the moderators. You know, the ones who eventually banned this worthy for angering people one too many times? I guess they can be nitpicky about these things...

I suspect the editor told the author to stop playing around and go back to formula asap.

"Formula?"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I had forgotten about this tender moment between Liz & Maki. Lol, did it make the readers angry!

Aaand suddenly this manhua is ten times more thrilling than it was before lol.

I thought this would be a simple story about the mc's sexual complexes and how she comes to terms with them. I really wasn't expecting what transpired just now.

"Cute small kid who was like a little sibling to you grows up into a devastating beauty and has a crush on you" is not a never-heard-of-before plot device... but I do believe it's the first time I find it in a Chinese manhua.

Every time a new chapter is translated, I come here to write that this manga is CRAZY GOOD.

I fear I'm becoming repetitive and boring.

Still, this was another awesome chapter and this manga is crazy good.

Aizawa pretty much steals the limelight, as usual. Her guilt-trip over the messy situation was so adorable. But Honda comes a close second! I love the story and all the characters.

Good Lord Ayaka doesn't deserve the shit she's been through with Hiroko...

Poor girl...

That crying face shouldn't be a thing...

I agree so much.

Whatever she was playing had a hell of an effect.

I know, I know! Nakano realized she's fallen for Miyako and has no idea how to handle it -- because it's the first time in her life she's in love.

So she's doing a spiritual retreat or something, to sort out her feelings.

If I'm not mistaken, a "ken-couple" is a couple who fights all the time. I mean, violent fights. With their fists and stuff.

It's another one of those Japanese portmanteau words like ba-(ka/cou)ple or ota-couple. They sure love categorizing couples, don't they?

This whole anthology should be about fighting couples.

so like, what's the story here? did the manga get licensed?

I'm not certain, but in Spanish the scanlation continues. In fact, chapter 18 is just out.

huh, I thought the author would drag this out longer, but a direct confrontation? Hot damn, I really didn't expect this.

I hope it goes full telenovela.

Hell yeah!

so Ruriko did fall first!

Um, yeah, Ruriko has been in love with Kurumi for the longest time.

Remember, she was the one who, right before leaving for Europe, said to Kurumi: "In 5 years, when I return, if we're both still single, let's get married!"

Oh, come on, you both say "I love you", but are still acting like you're just fiends?

mwah.jpg

The best thing about the above panel is that it comes right after Kurumi says: "OK so I finally understand my feelings: I love Ruriko for realsies! Now, what should I do about that?!?"

Kurumi... even a pre-kindergarten kid knows the answer (and will show you with her dolls).

Pandacorya's works have the best utility in the history of yuri.

(If you don't get my meaning, you need to reread "Ah... and Mm... Are All She Says" where the notion of utility in eromanga is explained.)

Eagerly waiting for more chapters, both to know what happened between these two that lead them to have sex and what will happen with them from now on.

Oh, I knew it! I knew! I knew from the very first instant I saw her that this Yomi woman was up to no good!!

Shizuku should have stuck to Honami. It was clear from the beginning that she was the right choice. Stupid Shizuku. Bah.

The chibi character cast for Genji Monogatari is ADORABLE and I love Mashiro for drawing it.

But I wonder... what is Murasaki Shikibu x Sei Shounagon? A yuri doujinshi?

The Gyaru tag is wrong.

The character Mishima is obviously inspired in whatshername from "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All" series. Y'know, the record store girl who likes rock and looks like a guy.

But that's totally 100% not a gyaru.

Mishima's casual look can be called rocker style, grunge style, ghetto style, soft butch style, oh, lotta things—but she's nothing like a gyaru.

Taking Wikipedia for its' wisdom,it can easily be said that she is a gal who is using fashion that isn't the norm of a prim and proper housewife.

It's absolute stretch to say she isn't one at all.

Taking Google for its' wisdom, or any Gyaru fashion magazine ever published, it can easily be seen that gyaru are about hyperfeminine looks and roles.
It should be easy to understand if you look at "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All" as an example. Aya is a gyaru. Her circle of friends at school are gyaru. Mitsuki? Polar opposite of a gyaru, both as a school nerd and as a hunky 'oniisan'.

The main point of being a gyaru is to not be a prim n' proper housewife "ojou-sama" like style, and there's so many combinations that fit under gyaru,so he tag is more then justified for being in use, there's no need to around in circles trying to debate it when it's obvious that she isn't all prim n' proper.

Ahh yes we should add the JRPG tag too as well...

Gyaru isn't about being "anything different than traditional Japanese style" it's an anticultural fashion movement that's supposed to be the Opposite from the traditional image.
Pale skin? Nahh fam, Tanned
Raven hair? Nope, bleached
Elegantly dressed? Fucking heart accessories galore M8

Or would you rather be lazy and call anything that's not a Yamato Hime a Gyaru?

Good explanation.
The Google links posted above make VERY clear what's a gyaru. And a tomboy who dresses in male clothes and looks like an ikemen is nothing like a gyaru. There's nothing to debate.

Somebody made a mistake when they tagged this manga with Gyaru, just that. They should have tagged it with Tomboy instead.

Are there any villainess yuri stories where the villainess is actually fairly effed up? I mean someone like Fukiko Ichinomiya from Oniisama e. She was a seriously nasty person.

I'd say. The original Miya-sama, in the manga, returned Rei's feelings but refused to admit it and instead did everything she could to hurt Rei. Only after Rei's suicide she realizes how badly she screwed up; she's devastated by grief, and it is implied in her scenes with Nanako that she will become a better person. (Actually my personal fanon is that she and Nanako will end up together after bonding over their love for Rei, hehe.)

I just can't have enough of these characters. I love Kase and Yamada so much. And the rest of the cast too, for that matter. Here's hoping they will all remain useless lesbian dorks forever.
