I wonder what sort of secret Satou would have apart from her part-time job, or if the point is that Makino is too dense to realize that Konatsu also found out about Satou's side job.

I'm personally conflicted about this ending.

On the one hand, it makes sense to keep things platonic

If you think this is platonic I think you might need to take a closer look at your relationships. This is definitely a step beyond platonic.

Perhaps I should rephrase that to say "not explicitly romantic" (i.e. one of the two telling the other that she loves her, having their feelings reciprocated and officially calling themselves a couple).

I'm personally conflicted about this ending.

On the one hand, it makes sense to keep things platonic between Ise and Shima, even if it's a bit strange that they're using their last names after all this time.

On the other hand, it doesn't feel as though much has changed between them. Not every series like this has to be yuri, but (ideally) romance arcs involve a sense of progression, with the characters changing over time and growing closer. It seemed as though the idea of a transfer was abruptly brought up in the last chapter just to provide some semblance of a climax.

Speaking of the transfer, it might have been interesting to see Ise and Shima have to go their separate ways, with Shima supporting Ise's decision to leave for the sake of her career rather than insist that she stays, which would result in a more bittersweet ending. The boss suddenly announcing that Shima's going with Ise feels like a copout.

I'm a fan of girls in overalls, but I also like them better when both straps are hooked up.

Perhaps Haori's name is better known than Rei's is, whereas most people in America didn't know about Ryuichi Naruhodo until Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney came out in the west.

What are the chances that Nanase was talking about Fuuko when she told Yuni about her middle school crush?

Imho zero. From what we've been shown so far, Fuuko's character is completely different.

That "middle school crush" anecdote is just a plot gimmick, a sob story the author made up to soften the bad impression Nanase is making on the readers with her milk-and-water approach to dating Yuni. The author doesn't want everyone to start rooting for Fuuko, at least not yet.

I'd like to point out that Yuni doesn't accept it as an excuse. By saying. "Don't compare me to her. We're not the same. I'm not that weak," she not only calls the other girl too cowardly for ending her friendship with Nanase, but also chides Nanase for letting her insecurity affect her relationship with Yuni. She then tells Nanase to put the incident behind her and trust her.

LETS FUCKING GO BOIIIIIIIIIS FUJISHIRO GOT HER WOMAN
IT'S OFFICIALLY FALSE ADVERTISING
THE LESBIANS- i mean THE PRINCESSES AREN'T USELESS ANYMOOOOOOORE

The official localization calls the series Failed Princesses. It's probably a more accurate title, but it doesn't fit with the "useless lesbians" joke.

I kinda wish they had a little more time to stretch it out. It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine but it always bugs me when the actual '' they're officially a couple'' moment happens in the last page and we get none of the happy payoff. Oh well! It was still pretty sweet and the art is as pretty as always. Here's to our not so unless anymore girls !

I agree. Bloom Into You got Yuu and Touko together at the start of the final volume and gave us a few chapters of them as a couple. The series could have done a little more, but it's certainly preferable to what this series did.

I wish Fujishiro and Kurokawa had at least started calling each other by their first names. Considering that they actually acknowledged how they're still calling each other by their surnames, one would think that they'd actually switch to first names at some point, since it's a nice way to signify two characters becoming a couple, or at least close friends.

This sounds like it's fairly early on in their support. From what I recall, Hinoka and Camilla stop calling each other "Princess" at the start of their B support.

I'm a bit surprised that Shirakawa's germophobia and aversion to being touched are being played for laughs in the COVID-19 pandemic, and in a society that's as averse to touching others as Japan is.

Despite that, I enjoyed it and wished it could have been longer. The problem with these short series is that they can't develop the main characters' relationships as well as a long series can, nor can they stand on their own as well as a one-shot can, often due to lacking a real ending. If the writers had fleshed out the characters and kept things fresh, this could have gone on for a while.

The premise reminds me of Netsuzou Trap, minus the drama... and not in a good way.

This is one of those endings in which you can't tell that it's the end if not for the author's note explaining that this was the final chapter. Did it get canceled?

Whatever the case may be, the series went out on a rather disappointing note.

I read Volume 7. There was a lot of angst, but I suppose that's to be expected when Mitsuki confesses before she or Hime have had a chance to deal with their primary personality flaws.

As for Kanoko being a "bitch," while it wasn't very nice of her to hit Mitsuki during their conversation after Mitsuki said she was "special" to Hime, Kanoko did raise some legitimate points about how it was wrong for Mitsuki to confess without considering the effect it would have on Hime(and I say this as someone who identifies with Mitsuki) and later apologized for hitting Mitsuki. It says a lot about the emotional complexity of this work that jealousy isn't the sole reason for conflict between Mitsuki and Kanoko, and it's slightly reminiscent of Yuu's relationship with Sayaka in Bloom Into You.

Edit: February 8, 2022(the release date for Volume 8) can't come soon enough. Let's hope it doesn't get delayed.

Whattt?! We don't even get to see her giving away the chocolates? :( that's kind of a shame...

tell me about it

I concur. If it's Sachiko x Yumi, Sachiko should at least make an appearance.

Not only do the parents not have a problem with their marriage, they get much better along with their daughter in law than their actual daughter. :D

I guess this is a natural result when they've known the daughter-in-law for years, as opposed to the daughter-in-law being a stranger.

It also reminds me of I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying, in which Kyoko (Hajime's mother) gets along well with her daughter-in-law Kaoru, but becomes comically furious when nagging Hajime about not having a job.

MC on her best way to become a NEET, kinda reminds me of an early-stage Neeko.

Apologize to Neeko.

I'll second that. There was a time when Neeko had hopes for the future back in elementary school and was nice enough to reach out to Uri, back before being rejected for jobs traumatized her.

As for the main character here, she seems almost comedically hopeless, so while I hope that she ends up getting positive character development, I'm not sure how to give it to her in a way that won't end up being contrived.

I'm starting to rethink my "stable time loop" theory, since it's highly unlikely that Nanasawa would spend this much time around Sasaki without remembering her, especially when Sasaki was clearly interested in Seto.

Speaking of which, I'm personally curious about why Seto ended up with a man who eventually cheated on her rather than Nanasawa. I hope that the story will introduce the man in question rather than leave him as a plot device.

This was funny, but I could have done without the twist about Ichinose also being Rika's sex friend, partly because I'm not all that much of a fan of teacher-student pairings.

I didn't read all the series, but could someone please explain why Aya hates Yoru enough to wish that Yoru never show her face in front of Sei again, and then eat Yoru's photo?

I recommend reading the series so you can form your own interpretation but if you really wanna know my take; it's not that Aya hates Yoru per se.. More like she hates how strongly Sei feels for Yoru. She ate Yoru's picture so she could take Yoru's place in Sei's heart. She wishes for Yoru to never return because Aya fears Sei will be consumed by Yoru again, ultimately undoing all of Aya's hard work.

Thanks for answering the question. The idea of Aya eating the photo to replace Yoru in Sei's heart makes sense.

My personal theory is that this is a "stable time loop." After growing up and learning that Seto fell in love with a man and got divorced, Nanasawa went back in time and took on the identity of Sasaki. Unbeknownst to her, Seto isn't interested in "Sasaki" either, likely due to being heterosexual, and had already met Sasaki before Nanasawa traveled back in time.

While Nanasawa met Sasaki in Chapter 3 and is thinking about her in Chapter 4, it's possible that Nanasawa forgot about Sasaki before going back in time, especially if Seto never gave any indication of being interested in other girls. Under this theory, it's also likely that Sasaki will end up learning things about Seto that Nanasawa never realized, such as why Seto never got together with Nanasawa.

While there's no real way to make the concept of going back to an abusive girlfriend work, it might have been a little more palatable if the story had taken the time to show that Serina did, in fact, miss Kanon (apart from the crying after running away, which could be interpreted any number of ways), such as by showing her talking with "Aoi" about Kanon and actually talking about happier times. As it stands now, Kanon's just the woman who threw the remote control at her girlfriend for no reason, and nothing in the story helps with that extremely negative first impression.

We did get a number of her convos with "Aoi" translated, which are exactly about that - showing that Serina still cared about Kanon.

Most of the social media posts that show that Serina still cared were shown after the reunion.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/to_meet_you_again#9

Before that, there's the slightly vague "I want to meet her" post on this page.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/to_meet_you_again#4

My point is that it might have been nice to put a little more effort into building up how Serina feels about Kanon and perhaps show more redeeming elements to Kanon.

In response to KawaiiSuka, that's a realistic way to look at it, but the ending seems to be framed as a happy ending, with her overriding any concerns she has.
"I can't believe it. What are you, crazy?"- "She went that far because she loves me." Serina's refusing to doubt Kanon.
"I'm scared"- "I'm happy. She's precious." She doesn't care about her worries, only about how she feels in the moment.
"I'll just get screwed again"- "This time I'm sure it'll be okay" It's a bit of unwarranted optimism with regards to an abusive relationship.
"Even my friends told me to ditch her"- "What do the others know about us?" An abuse victim disregarding what others say and only caring about the abuser.

It seems to me wether or not you're a NEET is a straight forward question. Do you have a job? Are you in training to get a job? Are you in school? If the answer is "no" to all three questions, congratulations you're a NEET.

EDIT: Shoot I forgot about housewives. I guess that would count as a job, I might be ticking people off with that though. I'm not totally up to date with PC terminology.

That sort of thing came up in It's Tough Being Neeko, where one of Neeko's old friends claimed to be a NEET, but it turned out she was actually a housewife.

We're up to thirteen tags, is that a record?

No, unfortunately. Many works with sex scenes have various specific tags for the kinds of sex involved, as well as NSFW. Works with "taboo" pairings like teacher-student, incest and other ones also have tags for those. Otherside Picnic has a lot of different genres, but that doesn't mean it has the most tags of any work on this site.
