but then aaassssssdddfffffggggghhhhhjjjjjkkkkkkkkklllll
tomorrow's the premiere of the first ever Philippine tv show that will tackle lesbian love
huuuuuhuuuuuu

The show's called The Rich Man's Daughter

This is very important to me, to us, coz if you know our dramas, they're stuck in the past, filled with het, and other cringe-worthy tropes

Have you watched Imagine Me and You? Setting's like that, with tidbits from that Hong Kong tycoon who offered millions to any man that will make her lesbian daughter straight and marry her. urgh

Sorry, can't contain myself, so just go to Tumblr if you're interested, like this fansub group

Oh, btw, the trailer

To end, as Irish Dizon said in her article: "The main star isn’t any celebrity. It’s really the story of the millions of lesbians who will (hopefully) be represented truthfully in this show."

So fucking yeah, help us Madoka! May we have a beautifully happy canon ending!

And here in my country, "gay' is still an insult, and TV dramas can scientifically decrease your IQ faster than jackhammer to your brain.

first, Filipino yuri manga getting published, and now, this!
where are you from?

Truthfully speaking, that still applies and happens here too. With lesbians labeled as "t-bird," "tomboy" etc
That's why I don't watch local shows. Also, I'm having a problem on how am I gonna watch the show coz my parents are close-minded as hell

Ohhhh congratulations to The Philippines! It's always nice to see more gay ladies on (Asian) TV =D

I shall now proceed to stalk this show.

Man I'm watching this in primetime but the length of the commercials is killing the mood. I always end up with "I wanna sleep, this is so long" while the commercials are going on.

I could say the direction and acting is good that I'm able to hold my candle even if it's full of tired and tested issues/cliches. Or I'm simply interested in how this goes. I always end up dissecting Filipino drama when I end up watching it.

I laughed when I watched this. I mean they could have done an original story instead of copying parts from the movie Imagine Me and You. Nevertheless, it's still nice that the Philippines have dramas like this.

It's a homage in way, fortunately they chose that sweet ball of mush over the others.

A very good place to visit if you wanna get updates, fanarts and the like.

I have to wait 2-3 more weeks for this sem to end. huuhu. I'll definitely catch up by then. Same case here. All the BS fed upon us on our dramas hence I don't really watch. But so far I heard the chemistry's really good. They're really handling the "education of the masses" (sigh) about LGBT well. They've done it with My Husband's Lover (never watched it), now they're on it again, armed with better ideas and strategies to ward off them MTRCB and CBCP folks.

Hmmm it's good. And it's good the lead actress got changed. I don't think the previous one's charm fit the bill (on being rich).

education of the masses

Having a bit of know makes it kinda "on your face" but it's good.

My Husband's Lover

Wasn't able to watch it too that's why I can't say much in regards to the director's skill.
