I see a lot of people complaining about the guy without mentioning the fact that her other friend (girl) agreed with him. Which would make her just as bad as him, but no. Focus on the guy.
It also seemed to me like the two friends were dating, hence her reaction when the clerk said they were touchy feely, and "the mc" was the third wheel.
