I’d love to present a diatribe between Beavis and Butthead over the name “Uranus”, but that’d be too old school for me. All I’m saying is: it’s hard to read this manga with a straight face, I mean: dispassionate, unbiased interpretation of the work without intruding thoughts of—“uh, huuuh, huh, huh, she said, ‘Her Ass’, uh, huh, huh”.

The lesson here, and this is why the manga’s text alone deserves “Old School”, is don’t use names with funny homonyms. It’s as jarring as using the character name of Jar-Jar Binks in anything outside of the Star Wars universe. Hell, if I may generalize: pulling names from associated intellectual properties into media not pertaining to the intellectual properties will be difficult for the readers… unless it’s all parody… in which case I’m all for it… uh, huuuuh, huh, huh.

I get what you're saying generally, but I think I'm missing a reference somewhere. This is all from sailor moon and they talk here like the do in the show? Including recent iterations of it? With no associated intellectual properties? The trick, which most people do nowadays and they do in the show, is to not pronounce it "yer anus" so that it isn't a homonym. This kills any psychic dissonance for me, at least

Way more importantly... is that it?! No sequel?! Or is it supposed to lead into the show and that went totally over my head?

According to Baka-Updates, there is a sequel called Third Stage - I Want to Become the Wind. It was released as part of the anthology Love Chaser 4 (starts on page 6). Unfortunately, it seems like this never got translated.
