I find it ironic that among all their teammates, it's the yakyuu-baka (is there an English equivalent to this term aside from "baseball idiot"?) who has little to no sense of romance, Asuka, is the one who could tell that the captains were into each other.

It's a bit more general than that, but the English expression "dumb jock" is fairly close to that.

Damn, that captain with flowers and confession is so fine. While generic het flower gifting makes me vomit, I do love to see it within yuri couples -_-

Once again, I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for (while simultaneously laughing at) -- Miu for being in love with an idiot, or Asuka for being in love with a sadist. But what the hell, they -- and the rest of their team -- are hilarious.

I'm just sitting here waiting for a full-fledged comedy/sports manga with these characters. What the hell, they are all so lovable! And the comedic timing is so good! And this time, we get actual yuri, not some weak "yuri undertones"!
