I am writing with the request to have my account deleted. I wish to no longer participate in discussions which all to often become hostile. There are also many things that I disagree with about the site as a whole. If deletion of my account could be done, I would greatly appreciate it.

Who’s being hostile though? I see people replying with intelligent long threads, but they seem like healthy arguments to me. I would just say to ignore them.

I've passed it on, but it requires Omnicient0 to actually do it and they tend to be pretty busy in their own life so things involving the database can take a while.

In the meantime, you can basically just log out and throw your password away, it pretty much has the same effect. Having your account deleted does not delete your old posts.
