When I watched this anime a while ago I didn't realize yuri would be in it, now I'm reading the manga
If you want to read the manga I believe it's best to start reading from the field trip where tomoko meets most of her harem, that's where a lot of the development starts, and you wouldn't need that much knowledge prior to the field trip
@Salamandrake There's a lot of undertones of it in game if I remember correctly. Not sure though, I haven't been on the game for a long time.
