I agree with you about this. Sadly, no matter how good her appearance or her richness would be, once you grew up without love, forever you'll feel insecure about that one love you have. The more you love that person, the greater the fear and insecurities could be. Seju can only blame herself for everything and she did blame herself though :)

I dont agree about the personality part, Nora. Seju is no angel, she's not like Sungji, partly because she grew up without someone who cares and loves her :).

Before the cheating, she was just a nice, pretty, normal girl but the cheating and the situation after that push her into the ugliest side of her personalities, the selfishness, possessiveness, manipulation... :). She's no longer the nice pretty girl back then but after all, it's all because she loves Sumin too much that she's blinded by it :). But well, the imperfections are what make Seju Seju :), and I like her that way :)

I didn't necessarily mean that her personality is perfect, however it's very intriguing.. I think Sumin herself is also aware of that.

Anyway, talking about personality, I do hope the remain chaps could also give me an answer as why Sungji is so inconsistent between her actions and words. Most significant example would be: when the cheating happened, she told Seju things wont be the way you want to =))))), and I legitly thought she was going to do sth but then right next chapter, she went out with...Dawoon, I literally went 'wth???' when that chap came out xDDDDDDDDD. There were more but that was the most "wth" moment =)))))). Out of all three characters, I find Sungji's personality is very very...off, Sumin and Seju are quite consistent and stick with their characteristics but I cant say the same for Sungji. Something feels off with this girl and I do hope it's not a plot hole =)))))

as for Sumin, how can she let go a girl who looks this happy every time she sees her!

about Sungji at that time, I believe those chapters with Dawoon dealt with Sungji's confusions.. so any inconsistency are natural in that case. she was very annoyed by Sumin's little effort to receive forgiveness. you can see this clearly in ch59 (last scene) before she dated Dawoon and in ch 67 (phone call and the king fox scene at the end) after dating Dawoon.
I'm very sure that one of Sungji's reasons for not giving up on Sumin is not wanting to lose for Seju.
Sungji isn't stupid, she knew that Seju pushed them together, and she won't allow Seju to play her once again the way she wants to. thus the famous line came along: "things are not going to end the way you wanted it to, now.. it's different" before picking up the ring.

at the same time, Sungji can't trust Sumin again easily, and still is very hurt. you can see that in ch77 bed talk, and 78 office talk.

I'm not saying Sumin didn't love Sungji, she did love her, just not earnestly.
the reason she wanted to cut all ties with Seju later was because she couldn't trust herself in not falling back to Seju.

Yeah, you might be right, but well, just because she was annoyed at Sumin that she had to break up with Sumin? I mean, she did almost break up with her right? If she wanted things to be different then shouldnt she do sth else? Instead of pushing Sumin away? But, well I guess you're right, she was angry at Sumin's little efforts to ask for forgiveness

Edit: but the fact that she jumped right to Dawoon as a rebound girl for a short while is a big minus point in the name of love for me =)))))), no matter what her reason is

Uhm, yeah, I think you're right but that confusion or anything she felt at that moment leading her to jump to Dawoon also can make people think that she doesnt love Sumin that much? Or because she's too hurt by Sumin's actions that she accepted any kind of affection that throws at her? If she hurt that much, then it's super weird that she has accepted Sumin immediately with open arms and forgave her right away, right? Oh, I dont know anymore, let's just think them as the fated couple, the one who is the endgame =)))))), easier to understand =)))))

Sumin loves and hates Seju at the same time. Sumin hates Seju for cheating on her. But despite hating her, she still loves her. She took out her anger on Seju everytime something bad happened to her such as her relationship not working, and so on. When she was not being hurt, she felt guilty for hurting Seju, which was when she was able to admit that she still loved Seju.

you make a great sense, I just doubt sometimes whether 10 year of revenge weren't enough to prompt forgiveness.

I understand why she is afraid of loving Seju once again, but not to forgive her is another matter..

During the whole 10 years, Seju had never openly asked for a forgiveness, so Sumin had never gotten a chance to forgive her and started over again with her either. Sumin thought the only option she could have was moving on with someone else. As she kept trying to move on, she went into many relationships that didn't work. Because she got to be in a broken relationship again and again, her hatred on Seju came to her mind again and again as well.

Seju did ask for forgivness openly, in ch26 and again at the hospital in ch27.. she said that she will be waiting for her forgiveness until the day she dies, and waiting she did. Again in ch64.

I think the first time Seju openly asked for her forgiveness and openly asked to start over again was when Sumin was crying over the breakup with Sungji.

in ch27: Seju visits Sumin at the hospital, apologises and insists on taking responsibility for everything even if Sumin didn't need it, promised to wait until the day she dies, again Sumin rejects everything Seju would say.
