Basically, the manga was serialized in another magazine (I think it was Tsubomi) and when it went down, Yuri Hime picked it up.

The author used this scenario in the omake, I think, complete with a personification of Yuri Hime.

I made a mistake. It was serialized in Hirari and the tankoubon was published by Yuri Hime.
